Sounds like you have pretty much fine down there in Latin America. I’d like to have some better picture of the life down there..

Are there any authocratic regimes left or is it now everything just free democracy? What about economics, how is the living standard of average Chilean, Peruan, Bolivian, Ecuadorian, Venezuelan etc. compared to, let’s say, Western Europe or Eastern Europe?

yes, things are just ok in latin america, dictatorship its a thing of the past, but as with any young democracy (20 years old) people still have a long way to learn the way and power up, (i mean economically), this added to corruption in the governments and “inocense” from the people’s side (easy to fool), but its moving ahead slowly but surely, and as for the standard of living, i think our chilean brothers are in much better shape.

what you are looking at is a V tail (F-23), they’ve just decided to use 2 control surfaces instead of 4, tha’s why you see only 2.
what i’ve heard is that they behave diferently (on the Beech Bonanza por example) something like be careful with this or that (dont remember exactly)
but in the case of the F-23…nothin’ a supercomputer cant take care of. 😉

about peruvians learning to hate chileans right at primary school, dont worry that’s exagerated, i was there and never a teacher nor book told me anything as such, so you can dismiss that.
the only bad feelings are those past thru generations but coming from direct victims of abuse (you know what i mean), there were some but it was the past, i agree that wars in those times were total madness, today’s wars are much diferent than that, still no person with brains wishes for war.

i’ll give you one more, just a few minutes ago, my brother Ricardo from “Santiago” (yes he’s Chilean and he’s my brother) called me to join him at Laurier park to celebrate Peru’s day (July the 28th but will be done this sunday) but starting tonight i’m on night shift so i wont be able to go, too bad, it would have been fun 😀

yes condor, integration is the only way, i’m happy we agree on that, yes there is a long way to go but for the better future for our kids, yes we have to walk that way. i just wish to see that with my own eyes before i die.

yes brother, i agree, it would be nice to have Su-35’s but that’s just what i would like, nobody knows what’s on FAP’s command minds.
i did learn back in the 80’s that FAP wanted Su-27 but it seems they got forced to the M2k, but it was just a “hush-hush” kinda’ talking with a dude of mine and there’s nothing to back that up. just rumours… :p
