If it was Sainsburys she could have blamed the trolley wheels. 🙁
Avoid Thursdays and Fridays, pension days. Glad you bounced back, well sort of!

I’m pretty sure this is the one I saw at the Brighton Speed Trials, it would have been in the mid 1970s

The point I was making near the start of this thread was the way it was painted. The B25 etc shown had a Red Bull badge on the nose like normal nose art. There are many Stearmans, JPs even Hunters flying in various schemes, take your pick. The Vixen has the entire airframe covered advertising. It is the only flying example in the world. Presumably some here would accept the BBMF Lanc covered in eg. adverts for McDonalds if the MOD decided decided to get the flight sponsored. Would you enjoy taking photos of it anymore, or shut your eyes and remember what it used to be?

Somebody spammed the Support Concorde mail list and it was repeated about 20,000 times apparently. The ISP took them off line.

I go along with Flanker man. Bretling got as much publicity with their ‘fighters’ team and now with their L29 team and Connie.

I remember seeing the ‘long bonnet’ Dodds car at the Brighton Speed Trials. Very quick, in a straight line! After the runs, the police would allow a car with rear lights to return along the main road. Happy days…..

A couple of months ago I posted a thread (in the GA forum) that a woman in the US found a door marked ’emergency escape’ outside her house. It had fallen of a GA plane, but the pilot didn’t report it until he landed!
I was told some time ago by an ATC person that the most often reported are dead birds and fluids (as in hydraulic) at major airports.

As he says in the article, if he had asked for permission he would probably got a ‘NO’ after waiting 6 months. Proably get a NO after 5 minutes now. 🙁

Nice shots, Peter. The light at Duxford was about the standard we have had all this Summer in the UK. 🙁

A note on maintenance facilities at LCY. There are open parking areas at both ends of the terminal building which are being enlarged. Not very practical surrounded by the Thames and in Winter! Most aircraft seem to depart before the Saturday noon curfew and fly back on Sunday afternoon.
Regarding diversions, Biggin Hill is very near and Thames Radar control both approaches. Also Southend has taken diversions.

I think the best place for a ‘flame war’ would be on the General discussion forum where they can have a thread just for their own pointless arguments without bothering us.
