Simular rules were introduced in the UK at the beginning of this year. I don’t know for sure if all airlines require it yet. I actually showed my passport to fly from England to Scotland and back!
Also now at BAA airports every passenger is photographed.

At one time there was also London Southend & London Lydd!
I wish they would target themselves on their region. Manston used to be Kent Inl. It could be Kent regional and Southend Essex regional. There are 1/2 millon people living in North Kent alone. There are virtually no passenger services from either airport, while slots even at Stansted are filling up.

I’ve taken mine (on domestic but the security is the same) through City, Gatwick, Luton & Stansted without any problems. I used to make a point of explaining that it was only a receiver, the aerial was removed etc. But nobody seemed interested.

I was going on the entry in a 1995 copy of the reg. list as a Miles Hawk Trainer 3. I wish now I had made a fuller note of the display card. It and the Falcon are both owned by Peter Holloway.
It’s still gorgous and the finish looked as if it had been completed yesterday.

I know there are a particular species who do their best to get their body parts in my photos;)

Looks OK here A330.
I invested in Photoshop Elements, well worth it. My scanner sometimes reproduces lighter or darker. You can also easily resize. I spent a frustrating time trying to remove a burger bar from behind a Spitfire in one photo.
Fun fairs, ice cream vans, burger bars and in particular loudspeakers are a ‘natural hazard’ of airshows.

I’m glad I went Friday 🙁

The Sabre spent some time ground running and in my photo he returned to his ground crew shaking his head.
Both these were experiencing engine problems with a lot of smoke on ground running.
DH 88 Comet Racer G-ACSS is still in bits following its landing accident.
And next to it, stable mate Miles Falcon G-AEEG
The gorgous Miles Hawk trainer G-AKPF
R.I.P Firefly and crew. My photo taken in happier times at Biggin.
