Why would you expect iran not to?
Plenty of non-english speaking countries use english.
I would bet a lot of Iranians speak english… languages transends politics

POlitical statement.. i can see that. But still their whole point is that they can do things themselves. Why would you need to write in English?

For example, I can’t imagine Serbian, or Croatian airplanes to say SRAF or CRAF or whatever. Its abbreviation of english words in different language/nation’s airforce. Doesn’t make any sense.

and again, i can see this used by India or Taiwan who who are super friendly with USAF and conduct exercises on regular basis. But Iran, who can’t stand America’s constantly telling them what not to do, and threatening them with war? Why don’t they just write it in Hebrew? 🙂

Why are there English words on Iranian airplane? Even IRIAF?
Why do some countries do this, and others don’t.
Anyway, I would expect Iran not to..

    I stand corrected 😉

Ya see Wanderlei, I had this fantastic dream…it was an unusually hot day for August, with the Sun blazing down from a clear blue sky and thinly clad gorgeous babes pestering me to sample their ice-cream, and right in front of me, merely yards away, passed the most stunningly awesome warplane yet conceived by man…BUT WAIT!!!

’52’ looks friggin’ awesome in 1080p, judging by how close some people get they should have been blasting away with their D-SLRs!! Do I have to do everything myself??!! ‘Make my day’ ’53’ & ’54’!!

apparently so, guys were busy taking photos of skirts. Nobody cares for us who couldn’t go to see the show.

Was it even on static display?

How come there is not good photo of the front intake from MAKS2011? This has got to be somewhere. Look at the videos of it rolling and turning on the runway. Someone could have zoomed in with a decent lens.

unless its covered until bird is up in the air to prevent stuff getting into engine.

    anyone..

Sorry to jump in on this argument:p

just want to say that IMHO it is the tiny vertical stabilizer makes J-20 looks very large.
If we get a F-22 size and shaped VT on it… it will looks like this;)

Its true. What makes it appear long is that long flat distance between tail and cockpit.

    very Tu-128-ish!

Speaking of missiles, have we found out yet what this is:

If I correctly interpret the caption that went with it, this is a new experimental design?

looks like piece of set, or fancy table they are putting up. Same thing the guy in background is holding :-)))

Man, those pilots then were actually trained for strategic nuclear war. Not refueling bombing raids of air forces that can not fight back, and outside range of any danger.

. Just that fact makes the photo look scary.

from the display on cocpkit panel, it seems like J-20 carries 6+2 internal missiles

is there any weapons arrangement drawings available. Impressions or confirmed.

I can’t help thinking how many R-77s can fit in internal weapons bays between engines! Is there modified version of this AA missile known in plans for internal bays? Any drawings? Also, is there a word about very long range AA missile being stored in both bays (joined) or i just had a dream 🙂

    cheers!!

Well, this might be going a bit off the subject, but not to much..

what if Russia decides to offer Serbia a VERY good deal on S400 as a “big brother” gesture, only to expand their reach back towards west. This could be a tough card to play against nato’s plans, and would anger most of Europe.

What would Serbia do? Reject it immediately so they don’t compromise their path to EU? This type of a card would be hard to reject considering it would probably come with additional benefits.

As crazy as it sounds, i wouldn’t be surprised at such move. Russia could always bs that they are offering this as part off missile defense system they want to start to integrate with westerns, as they offered before already.

as long as Serbia is not in Nato, Russia can use it to mess with west and create new deals with west. There might not be much time left for such things though.
