I remember a few years ago when we were visiting Flag Fen, near Peterborough. My GPS told me I was driving along a road
which was only 4ft above sea level. As far as I know it doesn’t flood in that location.
There are some massive “Drains” in the area though.
There always has to be someone to blame in these situations.
It’s easy to forget that at one time, large areas of Somerset were permanently under water.
Maybe the English should have a referendum, to decide if we would like to be independent ?
Gravity, not a bad film. Better than I expected.
Whatever the currency the Scots might come up with, (if push comes to shove) it will at last be legal tender.
I can’t imagine anyone arguing that WW2 bombing reports aren’t relevant to historic aviation.
If anyone wants to see the originals the ERO has an online search called SEAX here: http://seax.essexcc.gov.uk/
However, there’s at least an eight-year backlog in items to be added to the catalogue, so there’s no promise they’ve actually made it on there.

I had a reply from the County archive people telling me to search ” Langdon Hills 1943″, but it came up with an error.
Incident C/W 1/2/4 is the one in question regarding my Grandmother, but didn’t give any details. I probably know a lot more than the report says anyway.

I thought this was the aviation forum ?. I put it under general discussion, as it isn’t strictly historic aviation.
Although I can if you think it merits a move.
When I log on here it’s under “New Posts”, so I see posts from all areas of the forum.
Those dates look a little suspect to me…found before he was shot down? Are they the right way round?
First date probably should have been 14:10:43 …. The fax copy was slightly off line, so the page edges were clipped, and badly faded.
I wish I had made more and better better copies at the time, but my wife only managed to “borrow” them for the night.
Nice pictures.
……………….. Putin now sees the west as a toothless threat, we will stand by and watch as he does what he wants simply in my opinion because we need their gas, like was feared a few years ago the Russians will hold the gas pipelines as ransom if we go against their actions…………
Geoff.
Which sums it up quite nicely. Putin will do whatever he wants to.
Of course they should go, they’ve trained a long time for this event. It should not be treated as a political football.
Especially by the likes of Hague, who likes to poke his nose in everywhere.
It always amazed me how “Teflon Tone”, got away with so much. He was one of the untouchables.
Who can forget the return of the Canberra from the Falklands ?
It’s a fair bet that Vettel will win yet another championship this season. With Raikkonen is the next favourite.
Are you taking bets??;)
No, I’ll leave that to Jim 🙂
