    Hi All,
    Like this I do!

    Geoff.

Gee, that’s a rarity, a photo of a Javelin. :stupid: Top to bottom in order of speed I think.

Zooming in gets too pixelated but I think there are 2 bands around the front half and that makes them Firestreak.

And to think they went on to built the Lightning series. From underpowered to overpowered…. No never over powered. Having said that, I hope it’s the same E.E. company. Please excuse my ignorance if wrong.

We had a similar guy here in Australia. A 16 year old who built his own plane and was ‘Adopted’ by http://www.Recreationalflying.com where by members put up to pay for him to get his flying license. He succeeded but I’m not sure what he’s doing these days, hopefully he’s still dreaming, and maybe still flying.

Just love this image. It’s so ‘peaceful’.

Sorry to say but that is the most awful way to mount an aircraft. Cheaper than a curvacious single stand but bloody unsightly to say the least. It would have been kinder to leave the ‘Tang on it’s wheels.

The latest observation of singular silliness from around the world.

    Left hand/right hand, authority-wise?

Exact opposite here in South Australia. You get fined for actually watering the garden during drought conditions. Many a nice garden was ruined a few years back when we had a real hot/dry summer.

Looks like a temporary photography stand but I can’t find any references to air shows at Witchford.

Re #476. That is a ‘Parallel Projection’ as used in 3D modelling. Never heard of Isometric Projections, only Isometric Views. If you want something more weird., tale a look at something in a 2 Point Perspective

I’ve never had an aborted landing in a civil jet but did have to exercise that option when coming into land behind a Jabiru on a gravel runway a couple of years ago. I was also flying a Jabbie and followed the first plane at a reasonable distance, watched him land, coast a bit then drop to his right wing tip as his under-carriage collapsed. Time for power on and put out a PAN call for others in circuit that a plane was down. Actually it skidded just off the gravel and onto the grass but was still within the runway markers. Just to be sure,on my second attempt, I landed half way down the runway having received a wave from the pilot and pax from the downed craft. I guess the point I’m making is that it might look scary for on-lookers, from the cockpit it is ‘just one of those things’ we’re all trained to deal with.

I’m confused. What type of aircraft are you referring to? I serviced Beverley’s in which the Navigator had the Gee(3) and the Wireless Op had other equipment at his own station.
