But surely the best Moth event is the charity flying day at Old Warden – participation is always better than voyeurism!
Steve.
Isn’t Waddington’s Vulcan XM607? and isn’t that the Vulcan that flew the first of the Blackbuck missions to Bomb Port Stanley runway? – so I guess as Vulcans go that makes it pretty special.

Question; I know king kong was originally made using stop motion techniques for Kong and the T-rex, but did they use real aircraft?
Ages since I saw the original, Steve.
Question; So apart from the Hendon example, Duxford cockpit and this fuselage section, what over substantial and not so substantial portions of Typhon still exist?
Steve.

Wasn’t one deployed to Mildenhall last year? I seem to remember an interview with its crew appearing in Aircraft Illustrated.

Unfortunately flying has never been cheap, just look at the cost of an hours flying lesson in a Cessna; so I guess we all owe a lot to Hairyplane and co for keeping these wonderful old birds up where they belong, so that we can admire and dream……

Come to think of it you still see the Skyvan’s big brothers the 330 & 360 around, but I can’t remember when I last saw a Skyvan in UK skies. So are there any still active in the UK?
Steve
I agree with TwinOtter, but then Air Atlantiques personnel are pretty active forum members – which I’m sure we all greatly appreciate.
Steve.

PS and please bring the Twin Pin.
Can I just add my thanks to Air Atlantique for a superb day, and say if you haven’t been then go this is one of the very best aviation events held anywhere! Very friendly, well organised, lots and lots of low key action and great photgraphic oppotunities. But best of all you get to go flying – bliss.
Steve
PS a very special thanks to Servila (hope I’ve spelt that right) who flew us in the Prentice.
Many thanks for that, does anyone have any pictures of either airframe?
Steve.
I spent a week there on ATC camp when they had Hawks, Hunters and Gnats – Great.
Steve.
Scariest thing I’ve ever been told – “Your ejector seat is now live” straight after the pins were removed.
