the single biggest advantage of a FBW system is the ability to design an aircraft that is very efficient, but no human could fly free-hand.
around 99-2000
sad news indeed, this is one of the earliest books that i remember reading from the school library (proper books that is……..).
great stuff, nice to see!
well, apart from anything else its an amazing model………FM eat your heart out!
well done!
the mag is at work………i couldnt bring myself to read it as its styled after young succesful business entrepreneurs………I’ll read it on monday….
did anyone read the interview with Mr Halstead printed in last weeks flight magazine??
Damien,
Mike J found it in a bookshop in York I think it was, and sent me the details, I got it for 32.99………….even for a book as relatively rare as this one seems to be, 65 smackers is allot.
Thanks for remembering though……..
some real first class shots there……..
cdrb was the one at brs, I thought it was a diff. one at filton………….maybe not, however, the one at filton is in spankin new globespan scheme now, and quite pretty I think.
cheers chaps, I am not a reg collector personally so I’ll see if I can see it on any of my other shots,
I noticed that there was a flyglobespan 737 in BRS today, looks very pretty (much cleaner than the one in the shot……….which appeared to be on a training flight as it did not go to a gate, stayed on the taxi-way for 10 mins or so, did not refuel, and went straight out………)
EDIT: Just checked a piccy and the Globespan 737 is G-CDRB
The man does indeed use a step-ladder.
That really helps out with getting just-taken off shots. I get through-the-fence shots with my 500mm, as the lense is effectively staring right past it……………not sure about being able to get through with less than that.
Heres a few shots I got in the late afternoon on the 03/12………..soo late I needed ISO 800/1600.
Hope you don’t mind mr flibble!
looks really good!
great stuff steph,
I note that some of your 380 pictures are being shown on the flat screen, in the entrance hall of the a380 wing offices here at Filton!
coanda
wonder if they will be as good as the hawk…….i.e. a mixed blessing,
anyhew, saving up for another dynavector tsr2 as I am scratchbuilding all the open bits, and I’d like one in flying pose……..possibly in that rasberry ripple scheme!
