yes, the americans hate the idea and have stated that if necessary they would destroy the satellites if they saw the system as a threat…..nice
as far as I am aware the 3 blade constant speed units were a near enough straight swap for the tw blade watts props, so the engines will turn in the same direction (unless the reduction gearing changed?? ) so whatever way around the props are on the more well known examples should be the same for this aircraft too.
unless, as is suggested the prop is a bodge job for a ground instructional airframe, although neither bulldog or gladiator props have the same nose as the one shown on the hurri. I still think its a watts bladed mk1
being butt ugly is the least of its problems…..staying in one piece is a wholly different matter.
just to throw somthing into the soup…could it ba no.1 squadron aircraft in for repair or otherwise removed from the squadron and transported elsewhere. I say this because no.1 squadron had red tips to the noses of their hurricanes, at least in hte photo’s I have seen of them.
I am sure you are all aware that the mid east theatre always were two or three marks of aircraft behind europe so could it be a transfer when new aircraft were brought in?
the shoulder launched system seems to have a small tv aerail attached to it, detracting from its credibility if you ask me!!
I wonder if he can get channel 5?
sadly I dont think that is going to happen, they have found the wreckage on the sea bed, the aircraft was last heard of at 7pm last night.
looks distinctly russian to me…..but then you have ointed out that it has western numerals……and of course, I know bugger all about flying helmets.
somthing will need sorting because the tornado cannot match the PR9’s performance envelope. I remember talk of using a business jet as a replacement, although wether these are the new aircraft the RAF are getting, or a yet to be funded project I do not know.
sounds like a global hawk or two would do the trick. OR the so far black offspring of the darkstar reported to be in operation over iraq, since the RAF has a squadron based out at palm springs dealing specifically with UAV control.
looks good ken, your also right on the panel lines, but a slight accenting does produce good results. perhaps you would find preshading more your style?
your point on what can be seen on a model compared to the real thing at scale distances is also valid for those soft airbrushed camo edges…..etc
ok my stuff has moved to this thread:
