i went today and on the other side of the coin I got in fine. I got there at 10 and there was NO standing traffic, it was all moving. maybe there was a car accident or broken down car somewhere??

my suggestion would be to go by train if possible, there were extra trains too and from cosford station, in both directions. I understand this may not be feasible for some.

We parked in albrighton( we are near locals so know where to go not to pay!! ), and walked in, thats the best way to go if you dont mind a ten minute walk.

I thought the show was well spread out, and really wasnt bad. It may be the best value for money airshow at an active military airfield this year now you dont have to pay an entrance fee for the museum.

I’l post my pics tomorrow, on this forum and on the kiddies forum for both ends of the spectrum.

I thought the Chinook display was the star or the show. oops maybe i shouldnt say that?? to be honest nothing else really stuck out.

As last year the tucano display was excellent tho i thought(same bloke).

    best warbird???

    you’ll see the pics tmrw.

    😉

increase the contact surface area of the wheels and you then decrease the aircraft pressure on the runway. And then spreading that area out always helps.

yes, spin up time is related to wheel weight/inertia/momentum and the main problem here is making the landing gear structure ‘beefy’ enough to make sure the u/c structure is able to take the torque.

Increase the airframe size, increase the u/c size, but the space/size fraction should stay roughly the same.

the largest airframe size for the a380 is going to be 79.2mx79.8m

it looks nice!! cant wait to see one fly into filton!!

i have a feeling that the aircraft was not carrying ‘conventional cargo’ as it were. if it was a spec ops herc it would still be an old one i believe.

Perhaps the aircraft was being shadowed???

just because the jf-17 has six computers and two hydraulic systems, it doesnt necessarily mean its octupaly (if that is the right word) redundant.

well true, if it wasnt the mirror that faked the pics then someone has done somthing very bad. I might venture that the mirror was fed some **** and piers said they needed foto’s so they went away and got some…..

the editor is responsible for the content of that paper and he should have done his job, which i suppose is to present a paper thatwill sell, but this is the worst way.

We should see articles on just how well the brits are doing and what they face in everyday life.

    in other words, the TRUTH.

from a previous post it looks like Berg didnt want anyones help in getting to iraq, neither did he want anyones help in letting his parents know what he was doing or where he was, and the FBI were certainly interested in him.

so just perhaps, n berg was more of an idealist than he is stated to be, perhaps he went to try and join insurgents??

and the insurgents then turned on him and made him an ‘example’.

I have found that the thing with crazed (wouldnt be surprised if the executor didnt turn out to be zarqawi) people is that you never know what they are going to do next.

berg might have been decived into going there.

it seems that the people who are supposedly liberated decide they prefer there old ways of living, perhaps we should just give it back to them (build a big border wall) and go get our oil (after all thats what the americans are really there for) from somewhere else like turkmenistan………….without invading it.

the canberra harrier and hawk were all significantly different from the products sold over here (ok the harrier less so) by the time the american manufacturers have finished with them.

it should win, but it probably wont because its not american.

however, if westland teamed with bell so that bell could make them, that might be a different matter……..
