Come on , its not an operational need to get the Lanc back in the air asap, meanwhile the MOD has to bring in civil contract airlift just to attempt to keep pace with needs.
Stacks of spares including engines are road moved daily, no big deal.
Creaking Door, I have had dealings with Chinese sales teams, they are so keen to get business that they will offer discounts galore for bulk purchases. So do not be surprised if the numbers are correct.
The big challenge is quality control and this is likely why this first one has been assembled.
Owners get what they ask for from the restoration, enthusiasts might get to share the sight of another flying Spitfire and the majority just appreciate the result,myself included.
I can now understand why some people request that the restoration is kept secret until the first flight in full scheme. Other owners develop a thick skin and ignore the comments.

Grand sight, up here in North Scotland we only see the static inert Bucc at the garage in Elgin.
What your project and others nearby highlight is the cost which I used to take for granted when in the RAF.Because it was not directly out of my pocket I just took all the activity for granted but at least I had an interest in the aircraft unlike the majority of servicemen.
So thanks for all the effort in keeping these aircraft alive.
