posting ebay items
I have an account with TNT, that way I can send all sorts of bulky, odd shaped items all over the UK. They can track the item and the best bit is that I regard the signed for accepting the delivery part as proof of arrival which stops the scammers claiming non delivery.
The cost is resonable for door to door service.
Early wingwalker
I just could not resist this addition because it was my first ever sight of a wingwalker …Helen Tempest at sywell
I have sent you a pm with details on a book I have for sale.
Vulcan
I have only just started scanning my slides so here is my first contribution.sorry no details on this one but it looks nice !
Auster pic
Here my own Auster memory, GAOCR ,I managed several flights in this 5D,it now flies from Bagby in military marks.
This pic was taken at a PFA at Cranfield when they used to line up similiar types. To actually fly in too an event is fantastic especially in a classic which I have always admired. Good luck Mr Langham.
Oh and in the sixties a Blackpool Auster sometimes did pleasure flights GARDA.
Only one flew although it did visit Warton so that may be the cause of confusion because not all people check serials. I saw it on static at the Warton families day in 1966 and also flying over Blackpool round that time.
The yakkes web site has a good photo gallery, general views of air events as well as the usual aircraft only shots, creating a good feeling of being there.
And do not miss the photos from on board particular aircraft. My favourites are in the B25 section. The views are very dramatic with wide angles . The pics can be enlarged to fill the screen.
crew remains
Contrary to popular belief which is encouraged by special effects in feature films,it would be a very odd set of circumstances for any human remains to be in a WW2 aircraft wreck in salt water. I am talking about present times.
Perhaps the Percival Q6 in the Isle of Man.
This Dayglo thread has fascinated me ,I was an air cadet and recall on one of many visits to fly Chipmunks at Woodvale asking for some of the sticky back Fire Orange dayglo. It was made by 3M and I carefully applied small strips of it to my Airfix Chipmunk. It looked pretty good and was better than my hand painting attempts.!
Keep up posting the old pics, helps me fill gaps in my collection of what I used to see when I only had a wee Brownie 127 camera !
this website of the Larkins recovery team is packed full of amazing recoveries and adventures,

Was the name Canberra a marketing ploy to sell the type to Australia ?
Did the team name MACAWS actually stand for MAnby College of Air Warfare?
Lansen trivia
I recall a Lansen being ferried via Lossiemouth to the USA, years later I saw one in a TV action series filmed in the uSa,possibly Airwolf.
Thanks Gordy, I remmber when GACIT and GADDI used to fly visitors around Blackpool tower in the 1960s,your pics fill a gap for me as I only had a Brownie 127 then and no colour film.
