this ******** me off what are they going to do when theres nothing left to cut? why dont we just send out a email to the rest of the world that the uk has gone soft and we are ready to role over and become a no body on the global stage. i dont care what any one say’s in future wars will be won by airpower and we are throwing ours away.

for the RAF anyway! there is no way that the raf should be a single type force especially as I still cant see them getting the full quota of the phoons. for many jobs the eurofighter is just overkill. we really should be looking at a cheaper fighter to perform tasks like CAS and general unopposed strike. I don’t like the idea of just piling up air hours on such expensive frames. I think with this news the RAF should be lobbying for 80-100 Gripens or Tejas. with a view to replace the GR4 also be replace with a manned fighter when the time is right!! I don’t want to see the RAF die or turn into a token gesture! 🙁
