The support is always out there Bex. The aviation community are a good bunch and will always lend a hand if need be.

Dave T, thanks for the Cranberry Fix LoL Once Ive got 773 looking as good as Malcs then I’ll let u all know, and if I dont do a better job than Malc then I’ll just go an hide & cry and pretend I didnt do it LoL an to qoute a well known scoundrel “Its not my fault” LoL Bex

I’m sure it’ll look good Bex, but it takes a long, long time. You have all the time in the world, so don’t worry about it. 😉

One is that all, i took about 25 pics of her last time i went (for shame).

Still it is good to see the right hand phantom but is it me or is the insignia at the back got grey paint on it ? or is it just the angle of the pic ?

    curlyboy

It’s not the light or been painted grey my friend, it’s the insignia thats been peeled off. The grey that you can see is the original grey from it’s previous scheme. 😉

Nice shots Rob. MAM are doing a great job restoring the outside aircraft. Think the Whirlwind is to be restored in early Bristows colours and possibly the Argosy is next?

Yes the Argosy is next, but not till next year Albert.

fine sense of humour, take it u guys forgot the weetabix that morning then LoL Is the 2nd missile the same as the first just in a lot more bits or is it a different one? Bex

Thunderbird 2 is not in bits, unless you call the winglets off the bits, but the body is all in one piece. As this is not a training missile like TB 1 but a real missile, it’s a bit bigger!!

    Hense the stuck bit! 😀

I am pleased to say that Thunderbird 2 has been rolled out, literally!

Can you paint glass? They’re a bit limited on power anyway so the added mass would be limiting. 😉

I agree with CF sticking around. The space they occupy would else be used for something far more boring and probably commercial.

By the way, I know where there are a few boxes containing mint condition programmes from the 2000 Air Show. Some interesting photos including SIXC in Air France paint iirc.

I’m quite fond of the Vampire and Meteor, especially the Vampire. I love the whistle of the Goblin engine. I need to speak to the guys at AA to see if they have a Trestle for the front of a Vampire nose. I might put a thread up asking actually!

Actually Les, I think you’ll find theirs two!

One of them is rather rudely sat at the top of the yard!
