It is very sad news indeed about the passenger. I have been told by someone who knows the pilot that he is very poorly.

Hoping he makes a speedy recovery and thoughts go out to both the families.

Any word on how close the Charles de Gaulle is to being ready to conduct operations? I assume with it having only left port earlier in the day that they are still a few days off from being ready, but I’m just asking the question.

Also, does anyone know who has done all the refuelling thus far? Is it correct to assume that the AdA’s Mirages & Rafales have received their gas from the AdA’s C-135FR fleet while the RAF’s Tornados are getting their fuel from VC-10’s and/or Tristars?

What about the USMC’s Harriers?

Tornado’s were fuelled by the VC-10. Not sure about the Hoppers.

Any news on F-22 deployments? The question was asked during the recent Pentagon press conference shown on Sky News. The response was inconclusive.

No F-22 deployment and no sign of it happening either yet. Don’t need them anyway. Enough is being done already.

Busy chap. Very good summary for those of us who couldn’t attend, thankyou 🙂

Your welcome. I may have gone over the top with the uploading but thats it now, no more worth showing really. It was a great weekend though and apart from the cloud Sunday, the weather was kind too. I’m now looking forward to RIAT 2011 but next time I’m going from Wednesday to Monday and hopefully with a newer better Digital Camera with a bigger lense.

Thank you. No the light wasn’t good Sunday and we were lucky to see the KC-135 because it went Tech on Saturday. It was ment to be doing an Air to Air Refuelling demo with the US C-17 that was there and even though the 135 flew Sunday this still didn’t happen because of the low cloud base at the time but both aircraft did some nice flyby’s for us. The A400M is quite impressive and manouvreable for its size.
