I you wanne know what I think about the charges. I consider my self as a pro western but you could make a case that those actions against the former Yugoslavia was indeed invalid. And if you feel that someone like Milosovish must stand trail at the United Nations Yugoslavia Tribunal then if the prosecutor at this court has an case it should brought forward and they must have the descentcy to justify their actions. If they can’t they must be convicted and as I feel they were then there is no problem.

Then you should read my first post, it’s not the Dutch government or Dutch judges but it’s a court of the United Nations which happend to be in The Hague. So it IS a worlds court.
Look at the case of Belgium, they have an law which roughly states that a crime commited against humanety any where in the world can be procecuded in Belgium no meter which nationality the person is from. And people have indided like the Israeli prime minister and Arrafat. This is a Belgium court not the same as an United Nations court is it?
>Is extracting a US citizen from the Netherlands any
>different from extracting Slobodan from Yug?
YES IT DOES. MILOSOVISH WAS ENDIDED AND ARRESTED IN YOGOSLAVIA. EVERY NATION WHO IS A MEMBER OF THE UNITED NATIONS, all nations are except the Vatican, Taiwan, and Switzerland (but they are going to), are bound to arrest these people so they can stand trail. If an American citizen where to be extracted from the Netherlands then he’s not going to stand trail but probably have an ribbon of some kind, for his honour, courage or something.
… civilised
>people could have been killed there too you know… (The US
>has been extracting its citizens from countries for many
>years… often by force… does the fact that the “threat”
>to the US citizen comes from an ally make a difference?)
No it doesn’t, not really. But as it comes from a friendly nation, or at least a nation which pretends to be, it does make you wonder how the Americans would treat a nation who doesn’t play along with their agenda.
>Having said all that I do think it is a rather stupid thing
>for Congress to do… but then that is what they are paid
>for.
I know you probably meant it as a joke, but in this threat I’m quite serious because this is one of those things which really pissed me off as an human being. But a member of parliament should have the good for the nation in mind. And stupid is really not the first thing that springs in mind as it comes to this occupation, I’m rather convinced that people in Holland one day might vote for me!
but thanks for your input and thank you all for it.

RE: If you dont hear from me .
Most likely Tomel,
The Brits and the Americans have an special computer monitoring system for it, don’t remember what it’s called. But if you use words like: BOMB, nuclear device, Bin Laden, assassination, Bush et cetera in an E-mail you better make sure that the civil servant in it’s grumpy office has something to laugh about :-).
but I don’t think the intelligence community is all that interested in what we discuss here, it is all public information, for the well informed public may be, but public after all. So don’t worry about it.

RE: A little faith for everyone.
I like the picture, the competite and light, but I’m not religious, I’m a agnosticus, so it doesn’t appeal to me in that level.

RE: Favourite Cockpit?
Has to be the Concorde cockpit all those dials and gages love it and a tree man cockpit allot nicer during those short hops over the Atlantic. A real pilots plane.
Ok on a serious not, I think I like the B777 cockpit the best and indeed closely followed by the airbus family.

btw, Monster your not rated for all the B777. What is the main difference between them.
RE: American Invation and Agression
I think I’m going to write a lettre to a well know US paper and if I do I’ll post it here.

RE: American Invation and Agression
For me it doesn’t metre what that means, it is all inexcusable. But it means quite frankly what it says, so ALL means possible, including an invasion.

RE: American Invation and Agression
What I exactly am saying is not that it’s likely going to happen but even the law in itself is something that I cannot and will not see it happen and not raise my voice to. The Americans are supposed to be our allies, well if they act in this manner with total disrespect to the world then I wouldn’t even think about how our enemies are going to react!

RE: American Invation and Agression
Just in relation to the war crime tribunal, all the other Americans who are arrested for lesser crimes -braking the law in the Netherlands- don’t have to count for an American invation.

RE: American Invation and Agression
They didn’t treat. They have passed a law in congress which stated that in the event that an American citizen is going to be brought to justice at the UN war tribunal in the Hague, the Netherlands, they have the right to go and get them with all means possible. In other words this law says that the United States of America has the right to invade The Hague as an American has to justify himself before a United Nations court of law, hence the rest of the world.

RE: Please be honest.
On this forum everybody is welcome and must feel welcome from whatever country they are and from whatever religion, sex and sexual preferences. The different points of views from the four corners of the world makes the internet in general and this forum in particular an interesting one. I feel that anyone should be free to express his or her opinion IF they respect once opinion. I will defend the persons with there opinions if they are not treated with respect. I come from a country which no one could take any offence of, I guess, so it is easy for me to say from which country I come from, The Kingdom of the Netherlands (obviously), but Tomel is right in respect to you have to come clean from which country you originate, I can put your postings in a better respect in that way and many of my fellow members as well, so don’t be shy and tell us!
with kind regards,
jeroen
RE: Airline Liveries
I like the Aeroflot livery,
Don’t like the Alitalia one, to green hurts my eyes!
Love the American one. real nice
The JAL one looks like a whale about to crash not so good for an airline I think! 😉
Lufthansa, what can I say, you wouldn’t take that as a serious airline now would you?
I like the middel one of TAP.
nice efford, I couldnot repeat it, but it is quite easy to critise the liveries (see above) but I think there should be more sites like that,
