Thanks Tom.
The country deadline is January, but my school want to get them sent off early. Some people at my school have had offers already, mostly from uni’s in Leeds and around that area.

Argubably, yes, becuase the more expression you can put across in a song then the more people will become caught in it.

Despite my large amount of very serious experience in music as a sound engineer and musician, I’ve never actually heard a definition of ‘perfect vocal use’. Please give me one! ๐
Paul
P.S. That wasn’t meant in a nasty way, I’m just very cynical! ๐
When someone goes a whole song without going flat from their key.

Thank goodness, there’s alot I don’t agree with in the bible to be honest.

I myself aren’t a literallist and despite having some belief in God, I actually believe in the scientific view of how the world began, i.e. the ‘big bang’, so I wouldn’t actually like to state views of it. I personally believe that when times have been tough for me and i’ve turned to God via praying asking for advice, then I believe because I would say a miracle happened, which I don’t feel liable to discuss in such a public place.
The questions Moggy stated, I would say that someone who done all that good throughout their life, gets a disease and wants to end it quickly, I think they should allow it because it will end people suffering, which is something I hate seeing, I however don’t know that if a person who done that, would either be able to live with that on their conscience or have it cleared from their souls when in purgatory.

One question I have always wondered and have never had a satisfactory answer for beyond a rather evasive โitโs a testโ, is if God is the caring, loving being believers claim him to be, why did he create such a stunningly beautiful planet and then proceed to screw it up so much?
Paul
Paul, again this is my view from theology, so don’t hold me to it ๐ฎ
God created the planet etc as we all know according to the bible. However, in the story of Adam and Eve in Genesis 1:1 onwards, the part of the story where Eve was tempted by the snake (satan) to take the apple from the forbidden tree and give it to Adam – that is what created evil into the planet, and it’s at the hands of people who are meant to be protecting the planet for God, becuase God doesn’t want to intervene on the way we live on the planet, so “all mistakes are the cause of humans” in theory

I’m going to take the points of what people have made about christianity and use my personal view from the studies in theology I have been doing.
Question me if you must, i’m not meaning to sound petty or be condescending, this is just potential back ups or againsts to peoples points. So here goes.

In terms in children who die at birth, it can be argued by some that God chose this for them, but, roman catholics say that people are born without sin or conscience, therefore, if you have no sin at your birth, then surely it can’t be God who decided you have sinned, therefore he must not have caused the person to unwillingly die.
People say that God is the causer of all that is evil and some believe he doesn’t exist, right?
God is omnipotent and omniscient, so he knows everything about the universe and the people living on it. It is argued by philosopher Anselm, that ‘God is that than which nothing greater can be conceived’, so we can only imagine something greater than him, thus he must be of existence if he is ‘that than … conceived’.
God was the creator of the universe in the eyes of Christianity, so, if you imagined a ‘perfect island’ like Gaunilo did, then it therefore can only be in your mind, so becuase it is there it is not true in reality.
All of these points connected about God’s creation and the person he is, is called the ontological argument.
The biggest thing that people go against God in, are the problems of evil which we suffer, such as death, illness, pain etc. Summarised in 5 ways, we can say that God exists and created the universe from nothing and is still interesed in the creation he made and that becuase he done that he must be omnipotent and wholly good becuase he has not sinned, but he wishes for no suffering to take place but there is still the problem of evil from his fallen angel, which is how evil came about.
I’m not going to go any further, becuase I think I have ranted too much here and not only that, I have lost the focus of what I was trying to point out. But, all of the above is linked to the existence of God, and from seeing that and from the belief I have always had in him, I can easy say that despite the rejection he has from people, I can honestly say, I believe in God.
