last film i saw
no laughing now we viewed latest Harry Potter offering , exellent film .alas the vue cinema had allowed a crowd of young nerds into the screening and they just caused mayhem, vue did little to stop them so i complained and recieved four free tickets as compensation , so i suppose they did us a sort of favour although why they paid out five pounds a head to go in and let hell go is beyond me ,or maybe im not hip ,or thick !!

NX611 to flight
hey thats a really good initiative get on to your local euro mp and make him earn his 5o grand a year, and it might just come off, seriously the EEc should be prepared to fund such programmes after all their coffers are overflowing
NX611 Flying
this aircraft so deserves to be where she is ,after languishing at Squires gate Blackpool, then being rescued by the RAF and taken to Scampton,to be gate guardian, finally then being purchased by the Panton brothers and painstakingly restored to her now exellent condition, she was flown fourteen times by her previous owner john roast (REFLECTAIR )that was a tremendous acheivement ,it would be nice to see her flying again ,and it would take some of the load off PA474, in my opinion Nx611 should be allowed to grace our skies once again what about the glorious EEc getting its hand in its pocket
L B A
its the highest airport in europe its always good for fog up there ,i live on the flightpath so there arent that many days when the cloudbase is really high,it was great when concorde used to visit she flew quite low over us and the noise was pure exellence, ive also seen a JU52 ,several dakotas and spitfires plus a mustang over the years,we also get a hercules quite regularly doing approaches which is really good and the odd jaguar too
TSR 2
such a waste of our aviation prowess allowing the cancellation to occur at all!still lets see if that wealthy russian who wanted to buy a B52 the other day could be persuaded to downsize his needs and consider our Cosfords little number , with his spending power she could be flying in six weeks!
[nice if some aircraft group could recover it eh,i knew a chap who worked on the bristol air freighter production .he reckoned they were very well constructed .over engineered was his expression
vulcan airborne
the sooner the better, and lets hope shes around for a long time to give us all some real pleasure year after year
XH558 what next
it would be nice to see another classic aircraft hit the skyways as it were ,personally id like to see NX611 at east kirby getting her wings again, the airframe is in superb conditionas are the engines etc ,the main advantage of this would be to give PA474 some respite, and indeed NX611 did give up some spares to 474 when the latter was gate guardian at Scampton, having said that the chances of a privately owned bomber obtaining a Cof A are distant but the idea should be given consideration if NX611 is kept in her present condition which im sure she will be, in my opinion this aircraft represents the only viable option but this is my opinion
first airshow memories
the 1981 church fenton air display , amazing aerobatics by a lightning and a flypast from a blackbird, zip and he was gone!, a vulcan performed a stall turn that was outstanding,
This is just an experiment on my part. If I remember correctly I could not get far enough back to get the whole thing in the viewfinder so I took two photos of each view with a good bit of overlap. I scanned the negatives and stitched them together in a panorama maker which is why they are a bit cropped at the top and bottom. I haven’t taken out any of the blemishes or dust spots before any body points them out.

hi great photos of the beverley ,it was an appalling decsion to scrap the aircraft and rob the aviation world of this truly classic air transport but at least she lives on in the photos great stuff
vulcan flight
i would hope so 🙂 just looked at the webcams on the tvoc website, the only major part that i can see needs refitting looks like the nose randome, everything else looks to be in place 😀 cant wait!!!
hi, i would think the team will take their time with respect to the aircraft taking to the skies ,this will be the only airworthy vulcan so they must be certain all the systems are fully operable etc, personally i love to see the vulcan in flight but it only takes one error and all the huge effort is for nought remember the bolinbroke accident, i think XH588 once completed wil be a huge attraction and hopefully recoup its restoration costs very quickly as it will be in great demand, itwill be interesting to see what flying hours will be allotted , personally i shouldnt hold your breath for this year:eek:
