I started this thread with a really dodgy out of focus couple of old scans from some prints I found but was amazed at how the thread just grew. The wealth of peoples talent for this subject came bursting through and just want to say thanks for sharing some of your magic moments from sites from all over the place.

Also the knowledge of these aircraft some people have, and are ready to impart with just to help others all stored up in the old grey cells just ready to use at the click of a button.”Amazing”.Anyway as reality comes close to me and I hear my wife curse “god however much more B****y ironing left” its my “q” to say thankyou to everyone who posted and I hope will post a few more.:)

    Good evening,

Very nice shots Peter. Nice to see that JAT Caravelle along with that Trident. I had forgotten that THY operated the ‘baby’ 9.

    Hello Interflug62M,

Here is that same JAT Caravelle 6N (YU-AHG), sorry for the backlight.

Has anyone got any of the Kar Air DC-6 (Swing tail) which use to visit Manchester once a week? Was it on Saturday mornings during the late 70’s or early 80’s? My memory fades with time………

    Good afternoon,

Runway 06, I have this scan for you. The photograph was taken at Schiphol, on January 2nd, 1969 (!!), so it was already there during the late 60’s. I hope you like it.

I have to Agree with Paul on this one!

Great thread 😀 😀 😎 any chances of Airuk or Air Anglia?

    Good evening,

Richard, I have dug up a black and white negative of G-AYTP, a Piper PA23-250 Aztec of Air Anglia, and have made a scan of it. Here is the result, not the best quality, but I hope of interest all the same. The aircraft was seen at Rotterdam on October 21st, 1977,
