This is all wrong. Question should be, could have the Soviets kick the Argies out of the Falklands. Remember that the Argies occupied the islands. One of the first local modifications created by a new USAF/USN/MSMC squadron is creation of “travel pods”. A travel pod is an external fuel tank modified with an external door and internal shelves with tie downs which allows baggage to be carried. A favorite item to be transported is the Wing/Squadron Commander’s golf clubs and overnight bag.

Actually USAF and US Navy Air use the MXU and NGCP pods.
