That’s a huge loss to this site. A great shame. I hope he is okay.
Left? I heard he was banned for not agreeing with a mod!
Great shame!
Could this be Tom Blair’s Putt Putt Maru?
It looks like we could have 2 P38’s in the UK this year then 🙂
She does look good. Can’t wait for them to start on the Victor. I wonder if they will have room for the VC10 in AirSpace?
Come on, they do not have room for the original aircraft they allocated to airspace! The comet does look very nice though. When are the Buccaneer and Viscount being moved out?
Is the DH9 still going into AirSpace or will this be relegated to one of the other hangars. Does anyone know how this restoration is coming along? There has been nothing published on it so far.
I’ve just seen some photos of it too.

What is the 2003 Harvard crash they talk about?
I know there have been many comments on the colour of that Spitfire but what is going on with the spinner? It looks very wrong!
The blue plastic is a vapour check membrane that will be covered by the external cladding.
The doors will not remain in the old position.
Not the blue plastic… The clearish plastic that has carefully been formed at the north open end. If you look at the image on the AirSpace website you can just see the plastic panels…
On the moving image the green doors are still there…

And I was getting at
It also reminds me of the HAC Hurricane, with the appropriate code letters. Sorry, but I find it just a teensie bit naff…
What colour is your hurricane then bruce?
From what i understand the HAC hurricane fits in perfectly with the Merlins Over Malta project. They have original photos of a hurricane in that scheme so that is good enough for me. Its much better than the fictional ones that used to float around…
Photo on Duxford Update!
IF it was a Merlin, it couldn’t have been a Mark XIX………………
Ok! It’s been a long day!
It was PT out playing
Cheers!
Any idea why he was playing over Knebworth?
Will it be the same as the diverse images model???
Does anyone know?
i think so, a special set is available from the diecast aviation website….
You mean this set???
Can’t wait to see them!
As well as the raffle tickets at Legends we have something rather special we are launching at the show.

Would that happen to be the corgi models?
Many years ago when Rudy Frasca’s Spitfire XVIII was still here I heard an airshow visitor tell his son –
“That is a Spitfire. You can tell because it has invasion stripes on it”
He was referring to the black and yellow striped nose! I love walking through the crowd listening to the people who think they know what they are talking about!
