Was a good weekend. Both for being able to display and meet folk, but also the aerojumble was rather good! As well as getting bits for my projects, I even managed to pick up a few items like stick tops etc for swaps which I am sure will come in handy at some point.

Shame the weather wasnt the best on Saturday but had fun all the same 🙂

Roll on 2011 🙂

Before folk get too excited Mike tipped me off about this yard earlier in the year, so I contacted Ray Polidano at the museum and the reply was –

“Very sorry to report that the named scrapyard, that has been like a time warp for decades, has now been cleared of all the material in it.”

Oh well……… 🙁

Now back to panicking about getting 838 ready for this weekend!!

Whilst I doubt it is of much use – pictures on the net seem to indicate it was tucked in behind the Lincoln, with wing folded and facing the hangar doors.

Morning all,

Need a bit of help of possible 🙂

Is there anyone near to Maldon in Essex that is coming up to Cockpitfest and could also bring a 4ft x 4ft sheet of birch ply with them? Or failing that somewhere near the North West in the next few weeks? It is for the top skin for the LHS floor section as all efforts to source the correct material locally failed.

Blast, it seems several things were at Popham that I could of done with, including the attitude indicator!

Sorry I have missed it elsewhere, but does this mean you have a chunk of Vixen or are you building something up yourself?
