If you apply the same make up of the BBMF i.e. iconic bomber and fighter types of the period, then you are probably looking at a Vulcan, with Lightnings and Hunters of various marks.
Though ideally of course it would be one of everything!
Jon
PM me the details mate, would love to bring her along.:)
Paul
Will do 🙂
Here is the details of our website in the meantime 😀
Jon
SUNDAY JULY 19th 2009
11am – 5pm
Crowne Plaze Hotel, Speke Aerodrome, Liverpool.
Each year since 2005 we have hosted an aviation-themed fair at the old Speke airport site. The purpose of the fair has been to raise money to keep the Jetstream Club going for another year, to raise awareness of what we do, to inspire our younger visitors to get involved – and to raise funds for other local charities.
This years principal beneficiary will be the North West Air Ambulance. This amazing team has been operational since 1999 and their annual costs are a staggering £3,500,000 – all of which is raised through public donations.
If all goes well, at this years fair you can – amongst other things – expect to see:
Our three aircraft: the Jetstream, the Grumman AA1 and the Percival Prince.
The Merseyside Police EC135 Helicopter.
A Jetranger helicopter providing short pleasure flights.
A Bell-47 helicopter – as immortalised by the famous MASH tv series.
Possibly a vietnam-era Loach helicopter. (keep all your fingers crossed!)
A gaggle of dragsters.
Hot-Rods
American & Classic Cars.
Sea Cadet Band – very popular at last years event.
The Liverpool Land Rover Society.
The guys from 4 para – come and meet a war hero, and see what it takes to handle a parachute.
Some very nice Vintage Fire Tenders.
Fun Fair.
and more !
Why dont you bring it along to our Aviation Fair on the 19th at Speke? Give folks a chance to see it and drum up some interest. Getting word round is often half the battle. If nothing else though, a few of us will have our pits there so can compare notes 🙂
Jon
Don’t worry Jon – if we can find enough beer, we’ll move it back again next weekend! :diablo:
Thought JMAC is the next job for the Land Rover lads…. 😀
Jon

Hey Jon H,
I recognise that, didn’t you get it at the Cockpitfest at Newark recently!
Anon.
Indeed I did!
Would be nice to think one day I could find a few more bits and maybe even some pictures as all helps put it into context.
Jon
The one piece of memorabilia I have so far collected from Burtonwood is this instrument panel. It is a B-50 pilots aisle panel that came out of a procedure trainer/simulator that was there.
Amazing to think that 50 years ago USAF pilots with 53rd Weather Recon Squadron were being trained a few miles from my house using this very item!
Jon
So does anyone know if this found a home in the end? Didnt sell on EBay anyway…….
Jon
Mate of mine handed me this spanner today as he no longer needed it. Just seemed like a nice big old spanner until he said turn it over and see what is stamped on it….
Jon
i think he has rather a large amount of it, enough for him to think supplying an airline would be a good idea?
JagRigger’s idea is about your only bet – thats what a/c breakers do with it.
Jon
Basically get rid.
Old fuel is a minefield of problems – contamination issues and the tax man are two that immediatley spring to mind.
