I do indeed!
Duely checked and replied to 😀
Not 603 related but on a Vulcan related theme does anyone know what the dimensions of the 3 main instrument panels are? Debating whether to have some fun building these but need an idea of space first! 😀
Still a bit to do
Though we have got the outer wings on now so making steady progress!!
Whats the Shack mk1 nose like these days?
As for the sea hawk and vixen from memory the hawk lives on somewhere as a complete airframe and the vixen was reduced to a nose section – though could be wrong 🙂
Right then – best go clear the garage before i bid for the nose section! 😀 Then I can ask WV838 to sim it up for me and I can fly a Vulcan all day long then!
Finding a volunteer force isn’t that easy – as I’m sure many are painfully aware! We’ve found that people sign up bursting with enthusiasm, turn up for at most about 6 weeks – and then vanish.
We’ve had the same core of people for about 4 years now with many drifters wandering in and then out – never to be seen again.
What IS nice, is having a few of the ex British Eagle guys come out of retirement to work on the Britannia. One chap regularly drives up from Shropshire to Liverpool to spend a day working on the aircraft. Another drove all the way up from Lyme Regis and has already booked a B&B for a return visit later this month.
The great shame for me is seeing far too few youngsters getting involved.
A good team is such a blessing. We’ve got one now and I can certainly see another one at MAM !
I really hope a team can be found for Long Marston and that the owners are happy to let them loose.
Roy.
Hey dont I count as a youngster!? Compared to you oldies at the airport anyway 😉
Any news on the old girl?
Assuming no one objects –

Hmmm….Could clear the garage I suppose 🙂
Hope they are saved.
Not least of all because that Gannet was probably the first cockpit i ever looked in – least that i remember. Family holiday and Dad held me up to look!
Also how many ECM6 Variants are left? Is the Gannet in Errol an ECM6?
Definitely worth saving!
Would it not fit in the new trailer? :diablo:
Maybe when the Brit and Sea Hawk are done 😀
Yup. IF we can find enough rivets! 😮
Still struggling hey….. 🙁
I suspect in the coming weeks we will become very proficient at riveting! 😀
cool
Got a minty photo printer if we need any of them printing out A4 size 😀
Well after our exploits yesterday afternoon found these on google –
