Helios Airways update
——————————————————————————–
Hi Members.
News which may be of interest ref Helios.
It has been reported in the local Cypriot papers that Helios Airways will adopt a new logo and perhaps change its name to Alpha one Airways.
Is imitation the sincerest form of flattery? :p
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knew of FREEWARE scenery updates for any of the 2 Tenerife airports GCTN (Los Rodeos), GCTS (Reina Sofia). I do a lot of flying around there because of the scenery. I base myself in Tenerife so airport scenry would be much appriciated. Thanks

Might want to write to the Mod. if you think you could something in common! 😉
So you own an UPF-7?
Where is it based?
Could be Moraine Airpark, OH? 😉
On the other side of the coin, we used to have to give experience flights to the ATC students at Shawbury, they used to invariably be female, and we would fly 3 at a time. They always followed the same pattern:
- Stare at me with Doe eyes for the whole flight, ignoring everything else
- Fall asleep as soon as the rotors were turning, and not wake until they had stopped
- Turn Green as soon as lifted into the hover, We would then normally do an impromptu confined areas landing(s) to lose their breakfast
First thought was how you were getting four into a Chipmunk, but the rotor got me on the right track. :p So rotors are queasy producers?
Cracks in both wings.

The paper reports that on inspection, both wings had cracks present. All planes are still grounded.
sorry to spoil it for you, but check out the google earth thread a bit further down.

ive just read that the vulcan at blackpool has been sold to a greater manchester resident (nope, not the pub….i’m not that far behind current events, lol!!) and will be transported soon. The scrapman is NOT beckoning after all 😀 😀 😀
Let’s believe it when we see it! Flypast was a November report.
The photo states it is a rare visit to Nice! Not quite correct. Last time it was in, they collected a whale and delivered it to Nagoya (Japan). Volga-Dnepr operate a fleet of ten AN-124’s.
I was very pleased to see the present interest in my forthcoming book – ‘The History of Miles Aircraft’ – which was originally to have been published by Putnams. However, following considerable setbacks in trying to get the book published, I am now pleased to be able to report that Air-Britain (Historians) Ltd have agreed in principle to publish it and a further announcement will be made later this year.
Thank you all for your interest in Miles Aircraft and rest assured that all the ‘errors and omissions’, which were unfortunately present in the late Don Brown’s book, have been corrected and a considerable amount of new and previously unpublished material and photographs is also included in this new history of Miles Aircraft.

Someone obviously didn’t read this post and paid £105.99 for the Putnams book, E-Bay, #8369247506.
Is there anything else that you can tell us?
If nothing else, I’m pretty interested in hearing about how you acquired it..
Mark
Yup, we give up! :p Give us a clue, how did you get it, what town, some mechanic usually scribbles a note somewhere
