I see the Enterprise at Palma de Mallorca on saturday July 02, departing about 15:00. I was on board of the Norwegian EPIC and unfortunatelly the carrier departed two hours before us, and my oportunity to take close photos of the carrier was missed.
Same day hours later USS Bataan arrived at Palma de Mallorca. Is the ship of Renny photo. :eek:Osprey on board:eek: Another oportunity lost by me.
Regards from Spain.

Belarus also operates Mig-23 in small numbers I think…
Libyan Su-24Mk “38” shootdown by rebels. Pilots killed. Warning some graphic images.

How about an aircraft specific question (it’s been a long time singe I was around armed Mirages) – at the very aft end of the inboard weapons station on the Mirage, there is a small “attachment point” (seen at the link below). Is this a ‘bomb ring’ that attaches to an aft bomb fuse, which would indicate that carried weapons may have been jettisoned prior to landing?

Secondly – about the photographers. Talk about being in the right place at the right time?!?

Aircraft spotters are usual in Malta like anothers world airports. Pure luck.
