A socialist doesent belive anything, he Knows;) Youv’ slept your dialectism classes…

But while giving its sacraments, stop at once thinking how you come straigth with equation where economical structure based on continual growth works in planet with limited resources;) 😉

While i agree with you on the limited resources issue, I dont believe we have found or even yet know of everything that is on this planet. And, I also believe necessity is the mother of all invention……which leads to fixing problems, even problems no one was looking to solve, but that is just what happens.

My problem with this whole anti-growth thing is, there is only one way to stop any need for growth, and that is controlling the population. Now maybe the idea doesnt bother you, but it does bother me.

Who gets the make the decisions, the laws, that say what the total population should be? And why stop there, with all of our scientific progress, whose to say we shouldnt genetically engineer the next race of humans, the “earth race”? They could all be very smart, dilligent, and pure socialist minded 😀 .

Is this what we want? Is this really where we want the human race to go? Ive already decided how I feel and I say hell no, but thats just me, others may say its the only way. But quite frankly it sends shivvers up my spine to think of a population made up of genetically engineered “perfect” people.

I agree that There is lot of crap on both side (more on the capitalists side however).
And I have to (again) express my saddnes of stiffness of US political field, that effectively doesen’t allow any meaningless political power to take the enveriomental issues into governmental politics.
Thougth Im not supporter of European green parties, I have to admmit that atleast here the global warming and overal enveriomental issues are atleast brougth into table…and the denying mentality is no longer held, not even by extreme conservatives or big power companies (My firm as well as other finnish firms use the green tag for advertizing)

Shortminded and out of context Enveriomental work migth be harmfull and some parts bit ludicrous, but it hardly is reason for declaring all of it BS.

IMO saving of the world is 100% tied into capitalism and free market economy and dogma of ceasless economical growth. Unless manking revaluate its stance towards greed-based economy, we cannot take the moves needed. Flag of enveriomentalist shouldn’t be green, that doesen’t bring solutions…red flag will.

I gota love it, in this one short reply you have basically summed up EXACTLY what the environmental movement is……..Just another form or extension of Socialism perverting this country.

Yes, yes i said perverting. Did I mean it, yes I did, as it pretains to the US. What you do in Europe is fine, but it isnt gong fly here with a helluva lota people. Believe me, this has been a long time coming, but after 100 years of so called “good government” there still are many, many disbelievers.

You talk of the denying mentality………so is anyone who doesnt believe in whatever you, or lets say the government believes in, they are automatically in denial?

Yes, yes it is a Brave New World and I quite frankly dont want any parts of it.

By the way, this Earth Day crap http://www12.earthhourus.org/ , im not turning my lights off, im turning every single one on, and pulling out every work light I can find and plugging it in.

Finally, Socialism is based on trading one god for another. Difference is one is a diety based on faith, the other sits in a house, is of this world, and pulls the strings directly.

With the ink drying on a contract for 14 Airbus 330-200 Tanker/Transports I’d concider the 330-200 for the MPA role too. The same logistical/part requirements would make running both cheaper.

Question is, Is the A-330 platform to big an airframe for the job? Just putting the question out there.

I’d say yes, but then again there are far more people on this forum more educated on such matters than myself that could answer that question more fully.

You must have the wrong magazines, I find Dredging News quite good and have to admit I miss Dressing for Pleasure although some issues of Rubber Discpline have rather interesting stories. For a really varied read Fortean Times is the best.

    LOL :dev2:

If you want to make it moral then the west has no legs to stand on. Simply by declaring those who went to Guantanimo noncombatants and giving them no legal rights… even basic ones and human beings what the US is saying is these are not humans they are animals and we will do with them what we like. We don’t need to tell them what the charge is or even if they are being charged. They get no legal representation. If we decide to release them then we will otherwise we will hold them as long as we like and torture them with sleep deprivation and water torture and other means.
Even Stalin let the accused know what the charges were and gave them a show trial before sending them off to Siberia for 10 years. It seems you can spend 5 years in Guantanimo in a cage and be released and never be told why you were being held.

Yeah China and Russia have a lot to learn from the US…

As far as I have read and seen these guys down at gitmo, or CLUB GITMO as I like to call it, get 3 squares a day, can pray in accordance with their beliefs (as in what times etc etc)………((does anybody remeber the bull**** story of the korans/Korans(not sure the correct spelling, dont wana offend/no offense intended) being flushed?))…………..just one thing that comes to mind)

Honestly, this whole situation with “terrorist” sucks, because in my uneducated opinion they do not fall under the Geneva Convention, therefore, what are we to do? Start another convention?

Honestly, I ask this question in all seriousness. Because any of you, while we may disagree, dam well know that if another “convention” is held and a set of laws are set in place, well itll still be some sort of western crusade against the middle east/muslims, no matter what the convention comes to hold true.

Garry, I gota say I love ya. (In a friendly way thats it 😀 )But to say Stalin gave a show trial and then gave 10 yrs is better than guys staying in gitmo?…..pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee…………….gimmie a break. It aint perfect, is it? Question is, will we ever be perfect? Any of us that is? of course not. But to compare a bad midnite pick up, in jail for 5 yrs (like i said, 3 squares a day, all prayer privileges, etc etc) to a Soviet gulag………you cant even stretch that much can you? Maybe you can and its fine, but thats just my idea.

Oh and by the way, I am not fully aware of international law, but i dam well know the US Constitution….and, im sure a lot will hate to hear this, but as far as I am concerned if you are not a US citizen you have no rights under the US Constitution, but then again, im just an uneducated idiot. But that opens a whole nother can of worms.

Anyways, its Friday nite here in Pennsylvania, USA. Hope your all having a good one out there, we’ll keep chatting even if it takes us to our graves :diablo: Have a good weekend guys, talk to ya nextime.

yeah theres the white house in all its glory, kinda makes ya rethink things, doesnt it?

And im a frequent visitor of DC, it is just funny/ironic how small the
    .White House is.

Ironically enough i stayed on the Eisenhower farm in Southern PA on the MD border, right in Gettysburgh. ( Where the “major” battle of our civil war was fought…..in case some of my fellow Americans didnt have a good history class, or you just forgot :), or if you’reout of the country, just a tidbit on moderm American history 🙂 )

But at the farm house they kept a certain portion of the corn field cleared, a small part really, but it was a heli-pad, ready to bring any copter in.

Sorry if this lil bit of history bored ya, but its the simple things that intrigue me 🙂

First id like to say this isnt a personal attack.

But if you read this, Mr Dorr, or if anyone knows him, would you/ask him to please stop harping on the F-22 and its 3rd generation M61 gatling gun?

For all the things to be ticked about, data link uncluded, the M61 Harping is just petty and cheapens an otherwise good argument in my opinion.

Sorry just needed to blow that off, it just really got to me the past few times ive read a story on F-22.

Dont mean to hijack the thread, but that pic of the 2 Oscars really reminds me of two fat-arsed bullfrogs from one of the local ponds………the resemblence is quite uncanny if anyone has every seen a bullfrog before, especially in reference to the bow sections haha.

This post was in no way meant to denegrate the Russian Navy, it was just a silly comparison of likeness. Lighten up ole buddies 🙂

I do have to say that I do find it somewhat intriguing that a “non-black” program that has been known to the public for some years has only a limited ammount of information known about it.

This is just a question, not an insult or anything. But since the Russians have been working on this design so long and it seems to be getting close to the unveiling……Will the first aircraft we see be pretty close to an actualy production aircraft, or will it be more of a pre-production/ proof of concept type?

Does anyone have an educated guess based on past Russian programs?

Wansan, dont you understand? Since Brazil builds cars and planes, a SSN is the most logical “next step”. 😀

I do have one question though. With the new AIP systems in current use, why is Brazin and Argentina going forward with a nuke design?

If this has been discussed previously in this thread, sorry for bringing it up again…..i got tired of looking at pretty pictures, i did that all day for 13yrs at school as it was lol :p

WHAT? I though the ABM system in Eastern Europe was designed to shoot down all ICBMs inbound for CONUS……. and Alaska, at FT. Greely i belive, was supposed to take care of the rest. WOW, i wont be sleeping anymore knowing that we cant defeat all ICBMs all the time, dam 😮
