Yep! I thought it was just the fuselage in “Deep Storage” Does anything actually emerge from deep storage or is it a euphemism for ‘on the way to the fire dump’
Deep storage generally means just that – look at the Ventura which was acquired in 1984

I seem to recall an ex RAF Neptune in use as a firebombed being shown in Flypast many years ago.
IIRC it was pretty much ‘un-converted’ and still pretty much in stock P2V5 form – the Flypast article was almost the owner trying to punt it to the RAF museum! Anyone recall which one it was?
The one I would love to see, although not ‘technically’ an RAF aircraft, would be Sidney Cotton’s Lockheed Electra
Whilst the IM story is an April Fool, I beleive there is a seed of truth in Israel trying to purchase P-47s
I feel sad that I saw a written description with drawings of the aircraft at Lennoxlove from an actual eye witness, who has since passed away, without ensuring they were recorded somewhere. I wonder if there are any photographs taken at the time. (In addition to the Battle? in the East Lothian at war page.)
That would be far ore interesting to me!
Witham SV have an interesting item on their on-line auction:
They are the underfuselage AMRAAM pylons from the Sea Harrier FA2
nor Regent using ‘RE’ (it was ‘RG’).
I must confess RE for Regent came from an earlier edition of Squadrons of the Fleet Air Arm, whuich lists it alongside RG – a typo?
RFA Regent apparently carried both RE and RG
I don’t think Lion ever was aloocated a deck letter, as she didn’t have a flight deck
I enjoyed it, and hadn’t seen it before. Interesting bit about Churchill.

Sky+ set!
Hopefully the secret bits that have been removed will be separately preserved so they can be re-united at some future date.

Be surprised if it does – much of it is American owned and relates to the F-35
Indeed Dave although also worth mentioning for those who do not know that the second Guba was just called Guba like its predecessor and not Guba 2 or Guba II as sometimes stated.
Indeed, I should have made that clearer (and hence the ‘II’ being outside the quotes!)
I understand that it has gone to Cosford
Apparently been destined for there for a while, but there were issues with the cockpit fittings being still classified. Presumably this has been removed/resolved.
Worth mentioning that the BOAC/RAF ‘Guba’ was actually ‘Guba’ II?
There was a whole unit dedicated to this, using set designers from the film industry.
seen this?

Oh dear. That doesn’t sound good.
If it’s like the last similar MoD ‘Dominie’ disposal the price will be too rich for any UK museums!
Have any of the Dominies reflown?
This line is interesting:
There is an extensive list of restricted and required for future use items that will have to be removed from the aircraft after their last RAF flight, which will make future use as flying aircraft unlikely. Any such use would require extensive work and approval by the appropriate authorities
That said, I can see them going for spares recovery
