Wouldn’t it be easier to move an MR4A from Woodford. 🙁

Course it’s the fastest, it’s essentially propelled along by the same powerplant which powered the B-58 Hustler and F-104…

I have always thought that this aircraft was powered by the Rolls-Royce Conway at the time.

I have got a book called Meteor Eject! by Nick Carter.

It has details of all the Meteor crashes, seem to remember it was around 900:eek:

    Nope.

    Thanks. Thought not.

I understand the Indian Embassy are ringing around the usual suspects trying to locate that one.

Is it the one from India, which all the fuss was about?

[QUOTE=lighty;1641379]I really enjoyed the programme, I especially found it moving when colin had his “moment” after landing.[QUOTE]

After pulling off a great three pointer, it looked like he very nearly had a ‘moment’ during the landing roll.

Aircraft encountered engine / fuel problems en-route Spanhoe – RAF Cottesmore (for the family’s day).

Made a forced landing at Cottesmore on the airfield.

As already reported, pilot ok and the aircraft is potentially repairable (the gear has been bent backwards)

It’s mourn not morn the loss of Winston. I don’t mourn the loss one bit. We have seen alot of aircraft leave the country for pastures new. Winston has gone to a sunny warm possibly dry climate to remain in the air and hoprfully it will do for a long time to come. If it had been bought in the UK it would have more likely remained groundbound.

It’s hard to see how you would mourn the loss of Winston from the UK as you live in Canada.

Would you mourn the loss of ground bound RS700 from Canada to the UK ?

Not quite sure how we get sixteen, as Syria had 12 Mk.8s and 2 T.7s (total 14).

According to the Meteor Flight website they originally had twelve, then ordered an additional seven plus two FR9’s.
