Here we go again,

Another day another farce

In the last 12 months we have had,

Pear tree’s being fenced up

A council banning home made cakes and the frying of eggs at outdoor events

Conckers being removed from trees (at a high cost to taxpayers)

Police banned from working if there are no pavements

and so on, now I’m all for anything that can make “high risk” jobs more safe and nobody wants to see people hurt when it can be prevented but do the above mentioned things really cause that many injurys.

Maybe these silly local council’s could try getting drugs and weapons under control if they really want to make the world a better place.

I think you missed another 2006 classic. Police Dogs to be muzzled to protect criminals from injury. Oh dear oh dear, I cant believe this is happening , but it is. The aforementioned, is enough to make you want to be put in a mental institution, to escape from all this lunacy. I really am getting worried about this country. How long will it be before Prisons will be closed down, regarded is degrading to their inhabitants, and criminals kept at home to do their porridge. When that happens, it really will be time to get out of looney Britain.
So now we see Political correctness in action these last few weeks. If anything will destroy this country of ours , it will be that. Am I an outspoken person? YES. Why? because This is a country I have lived in all my life, and I can see it’s gradual decline. It isn’t a pleasant experience I can assure you. It’s really surprising how few people have commented on this thread, seems no one really cares any more, and that is very sad.

The European Army..

Ok ..you end up with the ultimate Military in the world…So what?

doesn’t really address my point..its hard if not impossible to defeat a belief or an idea.

Don’t worry, our politicians realise our armies are unbeatable, and we will stay there until the job gets done. I don’t think we would be in this situation if we were part of the so called Euro army. European countries woud not have got involved in Afghanistan . How about sending a few Politicians to Afghanistan to fight on the front line. That would be quite interesting, as I am sure you’ll agree. 😀

Responsibility..

Have to agree that there are some regimes where possession of such weapons is a concern.

But how do we judge who should have them and who should’nt?

Is Israel a fit state with its ultra right wing attitudes of my country at any cost?

Is GW a fit president with his christian fundamentalist backers?

Is Tony the poodle to be trusted with his ” America right or wrong” point of view ?

and it goes on and on…

I remember at the height of the cold War someone suggested that we look at it from the point of view of a Russian. ” Surrounded ” by China , Various American backed Governments in Europe ,the Middle and Far east….

NK will be looking at things in a similar vein.

Who should have nukes? well I guess that’s not an easy question to answer . I reckon any country that can be trusted to use them only as a last resort, have a right to have them. It’s not an ideal world and that’s the way it is.

Crossing the Rubicon.

Neither would I….not when all you would need to do is load it onto a Ship and sail it into any port you like…Or load it into a Jet and send it out on what looks like a normal cargo flight under a ” neutral ” flag and hey presto..one nuke capable bomber.

Yes it will be a suicide mission for NK also, and anyone else who is capable. This is why the present situation is very dangerous for world peace. No one is a winner with nukes, and swift retaliation will set the world on fire. The human race has nearly reached the point of no return, all because of nuclear proliferation.

I don’t think anyone has mentioned in Afghanistan the British Government is unable to send any more helecopters to support our troops so they have been forced to hire RUSSIAN military helecopters fitted with western avionics!

Car makers being sued for making fast cars encouraging people to speed?

Am I right to feel ashamed of what my generation has bocome?

Yes recent high profile cases show the way we are heading, and it dosn’t look good. We are now living in the age of litigation, an export from America.

Absolutely right, this weapon means power, they are up with the big boys now. However they are now in a more dangerous position , than they were before. With Nukes, one mistake and that’s the end. Paradoxically this now puts them in a weaker position, if their technology isn’t as good as ours. All it takes is one cruise missile, fired from an aircraft, or sub. If I were NK I would not launch an ICBM…
