What a carry on.
Warning, these are from the Sun, hardly a credible information source. You’ll probably find there is a lot more they’re not telling us about these stories as it’d detract from the sensationalism of the story.
Ah but in another newspaper, I read that Police have been instructed not to chase criminals, in case the criminals get injured. In which case they will probably claim compensation for their injuries. Yes this is Labours Britain 2006, we are the laughing stock of the world. Why don’t we make life easier for criminals, by letting them do what they want, ahhhhhh we are nearly there, give it a few more years. Carry on Britain. 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

The Grey apparition.
Here’s another weird experience, this event happened to a chambermaid in a London Hotel. I wont mention the name of the Hotel, suffice to say it is located in Southampton Row WC1. The Chambermaid was cleaning a room when she suddenly became aware of a man lying on his back on the floor. His head and shoulders were outside the room where the door was open, in the corridor. He was dressed in dark Victorian style clothing, which gave him a grey appearance. When she moved towards the door she noticed his face , his hair was black. Obviously she was very shocked to see this apparition, and stood still looking at him. After a short while he started to sink slowly into the floor, and she could remember saying out loud at the time ‘ don’t go’ however he soon disappeared from view. This is another true story. 🙂

Over development.
Our local paper in NW London confirms that the MOD is selling RAF Uxbridge, RAF Ruislip and most shockingly, RAF Bentley Priory, for housing development. All for £231m apparently. They state that the bunker at Uxbridge will be “saved”…possibly by a museum or other such group, as it listed. The thought of Bentley Priory either being pulled down or converted into flats is frankly appalling. I would suggest that this is akin to chopping up the Victory for matchwood. Has this government absolutely no sense of history whatever?
They know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
How depressing.
What, more housing to already add to the congested west London area. There is no common sense any more, cramming more and more people intp a Town will not improve the environment. In fact the reverse is true, the quality of life will be worse for the people living there due to overcrowding. More cars, more people, more congestion, more strain on the infrastructure, more chance of flooding, more noise, more polution. This is madness without a doubt. I refer to Uxbridge, as I know it well, a nice town, but for how long. This land should be made into parkland for the enjoyment of the towns people, not more housing. Oh and don’t worry about the councillors, they live outside the area in nice houses in quiet country locations. Town folk need more Parkland not housing…..this is the voice of common sense, but unfortunately money speaks louder ……

That’s true 🙁 🙁 🙁
I wonder where all our taxes go to????????
For instance, tax is deducted from my wages before I even get them, then the bank wants to charge me tax on the money in my account. Then you go out to a shop and buy something which means yet more tax included in the price so in the end I swear that you end up giving the government most of your wages and still the armed forces are not receiving the manpower and equipment they need and what about the NHS, the education system and the emergency services………..they’re also underfunded.
I got a letter from my bank once saying that they wanted me to pay VAT on the money in my account (I think). That’s 17.5% before I even take any money out. If I buy something from the shop again another 17.5% so I’m loosing over a third of my wages on just VAT, that’s without National Insurance, Council Tax, Rent, Electric, Water etc etc etc………
Where on Earth does all that go????????????
The money goes everywhere except where it should.

I wonder what would happen if everyone in the UK gave just £1. Not £1 a week or even just £1 a month………..just £1.
How many million people live in the UK????????
I bet the money raised from that would help the Armed Forces out for a while. Mind you, I’d happily give them £5, £10, £20 even!!!!!!!!!
I was just wondering 🙂
Yes it would certainly improve their wages for a while. However I don’t think it will do much to help beat the Taliban. According to a General Rusian Aushev, the Nato forces will flee from there. The USSR coudn’t beat the Taliban so there’s not much hope for the coalition forces. Truth hurts dosn’t it.

Beginning of the end.
Seems ELP has made some very good points, far better than I could have. I like the bit about airport security, smacks of political correctness. We will have same problem in Britain, bowing to the minorities, so as not to offend them. This country is a big joke, I don’t feel safe here any more. As regards Afghanistan that’s a joke as well, and it’s a case of ‘ can’t see the wood for the trees’ scenario.
We are no longer in control of our destiny, this is the beginning of the end for the free world.

Errr…the US have a lot more troops and aircraft in Afghanistan than we do. And according to this weeks news British troops would rather have USAF than RAF close air support.
Right I stand corrected on that one. I don’t watch TV so don’t follow the news broadcasts. So I guess because the Taliban don’t wear combat uniform it’s hard to identify them, and they fight to the death, which makes it hard to wipe them out. Looks like we have a problem.
