I didn’t say Russia-China could make a partnership at PAK-FA project.China could purchuase this aircraft in the future if India wouldn’t contribute this project.Today they don’t want to buy this aircraft but in the future if their works doesn’t go as they hope,they can change their decision.And it is a risk for India?
I don’t think that Chinese aviation industry as capable as can copying a stealth aircraft.They are mostly copying untechnological parts of the aircrafts.And in my opinion this aircrafts are not reliable for a real war.
I think India’s contribution of the PAK-FA program is not just about the technology transfer or designing the aircraft together.I think we should look this topic from the political side.If Russia would develop this aircraft it’s ownselves,they could maybe sell it to the India’s enemies.And in my opinion this is more imporant than the money or getting the stealth design secrets.
I think all of these PAK-FA and F-22 comparisons are unnecessary.Because one of them is at the prototype stage and another is flying but not using at wars actively.But if we want to compare Russian and USA aircrafts we must compare between su-27,mig-29 derivatives and USA’s F-15,16,18 aircrafts.Not su-27 vs F-22.But I think also everybody must see the Russian aviation industry’s latest developments especially at su-35BM.For this reason we can’t know how competitive will PAK-FA happen.
Su-35 Fighter Makes Successful Second Test Flight
The 117S engines which have been installed on the Su-35 multirole fighter operated reliably and steadily during this combat aircraft’s second test flight a the Gromov Flight Research Institute, they reported at the Sukhoy firm after the completion of this cycle of tests.
“Various power plant and control system functions were tried out for more than 2 hours. The airplane’s stability and control performance was tested. There were no criticisms of the engines, systems and equipment operation,” they explained at Sukhoy.
Russia’s honored test pilot Sergey Bogdan piloted the airplane. He himself lifted the Su-35 into the air for the first time on 19 February 2008.
At the present time, assembly of two more flyable Su-35 examples is underway at the Komsomol’sk-on-Amur Yu.A. Gagarin Aviation Production Association, which is included in the Sukhoy holding company. Series production and deliveries of the fighters to Russian and foreign customers is planned for 2010 – 2011. “Its arrival into the Russian air force inventory will reinforce the country’s defense capability and also allow the Sukhoy company to remain competitive until the appearance of the fifth generation fighter in the marketplace,”” the firm’s representative emphasized.
The Su-35 is a heavily modified ultra-maneuverable multirole generation “4++” fighter. Fifth generation technologies are used in it which provide supremacy over fighters of the same class.
The airplane’s distinguishing features are a new avionics complex based on a digital information and control system and a new radar with a phased antenna array. The fighter is able to detect airborne targets at a great distance and shoot at them first.
The 117S engine is a major upgrade of the AL-31F and has a thrust of 14.5 tonnes, which exceeds the figures of the basic engine by 2 tonnes. Work on the creation and organization of series production of the 117S is being carried out on a parity basis by the Saturn scientific and production association and the Ufa motor building production association.
The Sukhoy company plans to export the Su-35 – to the countries of Southeast Asia, Africa, the Middle East and South America.

I think most of the people agrees with me the just Russians are competing with USA at aircraft sales.This means both countries aicrafts have the wold’s most advanced technologies.Russia showed it’s latest developments at Su-35BM aircraft.And today Russia has a ambitious PAK-FA project.They are spending really very much money for this project and I think they will produce a very advanced aircraft.Maybe better than F-22?But I think they must use the latest technologies at all areas of production.Today they have money,intellectual capacity and experience.I think these are enough for creating the world’s best aircraft.
I know that Russians have a very famous aircraft history.And I’m fallowing most of the news about PAK-FA and today’s Russian aviation industry.And my impressions are very positive because they are getting latest equipments from western countries for creating more advanced aircrafts and they are allocating big funds for this industry.But against the everything they are also operating soviet times equipments and technics.For this reason I’m little cautious about PAK-FA’s capabilities but I trust their experiences and their intellectual capasity.(Expecially Mig corporation have big problems about their old equipments but Sukhoi corporation is always updating their equipments and technics)
I think if how Russians create PAK-FA it will like F-22 or F-35 and after that everybody will say they copied these aircrafts.But we shouldn’t forget that all this aircrafts will be fifth generation aircrafts and their shapes will be similer.But they will be put their differences with their systems and stealth materials.
Су-35 – in a step from the fifth generation
The near future in the world market of fighters the Russian company ” Dry ” connects with the advent of deeply modernized supermaneuverable multipurpose fighter Су-35, called to take a place between present Су-30МК different variants and perspective plane of the fifth generation which deliveries can begin with second half of next decade. Су-35 is a plane of generation ” 4 ++ ” in which technologies of the fifth generation are used. They give the superiority over all other fighters of the fourth generation which are now developed in the world. During 2009-2015 these new technologies will allow to provide Су-35 domination in the world market in comparison with other offered multipurpose fighters.
First pre-production model Су-35, which assembly it is completed by summer of 2007 on the Komsomol-on-cupid aviation production association (КнААПО), debuted on Russian air show МАКС-2007.
The new plane with an old name
Name Су-35 already for a long time is known in the world of aircraft. Under such name with 1992 on the international air shows the export version of updating of fighter Су-27, created in due time under the order of the Russian Air Forces was repeatedly shown. On a boundary of a new millenium fighters Су-35 participated in tenders of the Air Forces of Korea and Brazil. To the middle of the first decade of a new century as a whole the concept of deeply modified fighter of family Su-27 behind which name Су-35 has been kept was generated.

Development РЛСУ “Ирбис” is conducted in НИИП with 2004 By present time pre-production models of system have passed necessary bench tests, and first of them is established aboard flying laboratory Su-30Mk2 and passes летные tests.
