RE: US Airways
On the flight Gatwick – Charlotte, the meal choice was Chicken curry with veges or some fancy pasta. I had a look at the trolley which had the meals in, and noticed that about 1/3 of the meals was the pasta, the other 2/3 chicken.
The also put a small side salad with the meal, and I’m happy to say that it looked a lot better than the one on car survey.
There was something else that I found very interesting, the captain’s name was Captain Budweiser. As I’m sure you can tell, this created a few little giggles.

RE: US Airways
oh god. I now feel like crying after seeing the US Airways meal. I could have flown them or Delta, and I chose them because of the A-330 used on the LGW – Charlotte route.

RE: Funniest event on board
When I was on a VS flight in April from LAX – LHR. The cabin crew were joined by a bloke from New Zealand. he was going around the cabin serving everyone, and making sure we all had loads of booze. The cabin crew took about one and half hour to realise that he wasn’t actually one of them. He also nicked a lot of the knifes from the breakfasts, as he used them in his card tricks aswell.

RE: Mobile Phones
Would phones not also start to wind people up. I mean say your on 9 hour flight in a jumbo, and for the whole time you’ve not people revieving texts, getting calls ect. Then the prat who likes to play all their ringtones for the large audience to here.
Or if your sleeping on a night flight and the phone rings. When you’ve paid all the money for the flight.
Would these not start and p*** you off??
So maybe it’s for passenger compfort.

RE: Which aircraft?
I flew Thai to Phuket last year. I was inpressed with the amount of legroom, and the orchids that ladies get as they leave the aircraft were nice. The meals were off a high standard aswell. They were much better than Sri Lankan (which was terrible). I was just dissapointed to notice that the english that the pilots spoke was of a low standard.

RE: B777
I have been on a Thai 777-200 from Phuket – Bangkok. Which was a preaty nice flight. And I have also been on a BA777-200 return flight to Tobago from Gatwick. This flight was brilliant, and the new world traveller seats are brilliant.
