Just read the topic. What I am surprised at is the jury actually finding the poor man guilty. I wonder what secure mental establishment they got them from!

This is really sad news. I have heard in the past concerns about their financial position but they seem to have survived up until now. I really hope that they manage to find a way through these troubles as well. They are a wonderful airline that many members of my family use to travel abroad!

If only it were true. Something really needs to be done about the pirates off the east coast of Africa, they cannot continue to hijack boats all the time and demand massive ransoms. I think the wrong end of a barrel of a gun is the only language these savage animals understand!

Currently reading, amongst all sorts of chapters from books for uni, “Provos: The IRA and Sinn Fein” by Peter Taylor. Will then go on to read “Loyalists” by the same author.

Very nice shots there! I always seem to miss the good movements like the Canadian AF Challenger and Chinese Gulfstreams, when I go I am greeted by Easy 319s and BA 320s. Is there any way of finding out in advance when there are going to be good movements?

I hope the BA pilots settle into their new role as E170 pilots soon! I heard this week on the airband “Edinburgh Radar, good evening, it’s Flyer(something) we are such-and-such a heading and we are an Avro RJ with Tango! Actually, no, scrap that we are an EMBRAER, with Tango!” Thought it was hilarious at the time!

I heard about a young girl who has ufortunately tried to take her own life, which is a huge shame because last time I talked to her she was happy and full of life 🙁

I know it’s very sad that a 15 year old girl who seemed so happy and full of beans should let herself get so down as to even consider taking her own life never mind actually taking the overdose. The news came as a terrible surprise to me and saddened me deeply as I know this girl and her family very well. Indeed my mother is best friends with her mother. I will obviously pass on your regards to her family at this difficult time!
