    I am absolutely amazed at how you have brought such a deep philosophical question to light!

    I guess humans created airplanes and skyscrapers and many other wonderful pieces of engineering. What birds can do naturally we worked our socks off to do artificially, and succeeded!!

    However being the most intelligent species on earth, we also brought death and destruction on a never before seen scale. We are the only species to take another living being’s life “just for fun”. We have also destroyed our planet with such things as airplanes and cars and industrialisation. Though we can all let Concorde off with that!! :diablo:

    So, a world without humans! Let me think, a very boring world free of Concordes, Empire State buildings and Great Walls across China. A world free of comedians, doctors and lawyers. However this boring world would also be free of:

    * War
    * Racism
    * the Holocaust
    * deforestation
    * 9/11’s
    * Ryanair
    * The M8 (replace with your nearest motorway) on a Monday morning!
    The list goes on…

    But perhaps most importantly… a sustainable world for the next few thousand years at least!!

    Thanks for the pics of this aircraft!

    I am surprised that his ride home used GLA rather than PIK. I thought PIK handled all those special flights

    Hi there,

    G-EZOD does not appear anywhere in EDI log from 29/7/09, nor does G-TTOD, G-EZDO or G-EZBD.

    However G-EZDD did do the following flights from EDI, if you took off around 6am then it was definitely EZY73WU (which is EDI-BFS) and was definitely G-EZDD !:

    Regards,
    Andy

    hat solves it!!! Thanks for your help on that. Not sure about the callsign but it was 7am EZY484!

    Thanks again !

    Hey all, it might well have been G-EZDD, I thought I would have known between an O and a D!! Sadly no pictures from the outside of the plane or the flight deck. I did ask about taking a pic of the flight deck but the F/O said that was not allowed due to security policy!

    Cheers again!

    Right I usually try and stay out of contentious issues like this because of my outspoken views but this just cuts to my deepest feelings.

    Killing seals by hitting them over the head for WHATEVER twisted and sick reason is despicable. I just goes to show the very worst of human nature that despite our reasoning some Canadian imbeciles (a minority I agree) can still do this. If these people do not have a dirty conscience after this they are mentally ill. Seals have the same right to life as the evil humans that kill them. Yes lions kill zebras in the Serengeti, my dog has killed a few rabbits in her time and sharks kill seals but we homo-sapiens are better than that. We have the power of reason to know better.

    I just sincerely hope that the good people of Canada and it’s parliament can come to their senses and outlaw this barbaric act of cruelty no matter what the evil butchers that commit murder say!

    I shall get my coat!!!

    Thanks for your kind comment. I am aware they are not of the standard of most of the excellent shots posted here but Adobe Photoshop puzzles me!:(:confused:

    Lovely selection of pics despite the unfavourable weather conditions.

    Just to clear something up, I was told by a spotter here in Edinburgh that going to PIK at the weekend is a waste of time because there are very few movements other than FR and Wizz. Is this complete b******s?

    It all depends on how many Nessies there are. If there is only one Nessie, with with no partner, Nessie-kind has gone into extinction.
