I just checked Airfleets.net and it says that TE is destined for Air One and not Alitalia??

Just on this topic, can I take the opportunity to ask you well informed people what equipment Flybe/Loganair use for the Glasgow – Tiree service?

Might be on it this summer 🙂

    Regards

I guess any death is tragic to those close to the person who passes away. My thoughts are very much with her family, especially her two young sons.

However I am not sure that it was fair to make a big media fuss about the whole thing. I am sure that every year, many young women just like Jade contract cancers that end up cutting their lives short. They only appear in the back of newspapers in the obituaries. Let’s just think of all the unknown scientists and surgeons that make a huge contribution to society and they hardly get a mention. One working class woman makes it big on a fakery of a programme then reappears on a similar programme and makes insulting comments to a woman who is many times more intelligent than her. What is that contributing to our society?? Just sums up celeb culture nowadays quite frankly!!

By the way before you start flaming me, nothing against the wonderful working classes, just making the point that most of these do nothing celebs have originated from the working class.

Excellent trip report there. You probably know this already but that 727 that you pictured has an interesting story behind it. It was used by a deposed African President to escape troubles in his country. He landed in Faro, the plane has never moved from the airport since and has now been scrapped there

Don’t think you should cancel that flight just yet. (And just how many crashes are usual for you )???

    Matt 😉

I was not saying for one minute I was going to cancel any flights, it just seems that not a week can go by without an A320 crashing into the Hudson, Dash 8’s that fall out of the sky inexplicably. I also seem to recall a CO 737 going down at KDEN. I hope to be flying on EasyJet to BFS in the summer and also with GSM to TFS a few weeks after that. Hopefully planes will not still be dropping out of the sky by the summer at this alarming rate. I am sure however that if every fatal RTA in Europe got media coverage I would not be getting in a car any time soon. I guess ignorance is bliss.

Very sad news indeed. My thoughts are with all those who lost a loved one in this very tragic accident. I hate to repeat a comment I made in an earlier thread but there is certainly more aviation crashes than usual. It is getting to a worrying level now. I think for the first time in my life, I would be worried about getting on a plane any time soon.

Thank you very much for the info guys. I shall get the train in and have a nose around, I have also studied the area on Google Earth which has proved a good idea!!

I remember once asking an EZY A319 captain in Belfast about the whole idea of flying the jet with his left hand. He answered that on the grand scheme of things, as a convert from the 733, the side-stick was the easiest thing to get accustomed to when flying on his new type. I am right handed but when it comes to flight sim I can fly approaches with either hand. Though I am sure there are multiple differences between an A320 on FS and a real Airbus.

Is it just me or have there been an awful lot of crashes of late? I have heard of at least 3 GA crashes in the last week and what with this, the US Airways crash, then the Continental not that long ago in Denver. It is kind of worrying

I think they should have done away with the BA logo and had a more interesting one world scheme, more colourful perhaps but kept the navy underbelly and the world famous tail markings to denote its airline affiliation

    Just my thoughts
