RE: Low Cost from Paris to Frankfurt

How about buzz from Paris CDG to Frankfurt via London Stansted? I have flown buzz 4 times and there flights are very cheap and their service is excellent and good value for money. The best low cost airline in my book.

    Give them a try!

I really like the colours. They look new and futuristic. I’m surprised that a low cost airline wouldn’t add soemthing .com on the end – for a bit of advertising .e.g easyJet, Virgin Blue.

    RE: LOCO !!!

When I first thought about a 747 on a low cost charter airline, I thought it wouldn’t work but they are selling there seats 18 months in advance so maybe there trying to fill them up slowly. I thought it was a mistake but that’s what it said on the website!
Anyway, I used to fly Caledonian a lot and they never seemed to have any trouble filling up a 400 seat Tristar – They were always full !!!

    regards

P.S : I still find it hard to beleive because I sometimes fly to Alicante quite a lot and some airlines only manage to fly with a 70% load on a 737!

Just to let you know, Ryanair are starting a new route from London Stansted to Strasbourg on 31st October 2002. They are also increasing frequency on Milan Bergamo from 2 to 3 flights a day and Rome Ciampino from 3 to 4 flights a day!

Very Very Nice Pictures – Love the Finnair, Delta, KLM and Swiss pictures. I was never really a fan of the MD-11 but these pictures does make the MD-11 look beautiful

    RE: Europe’s Worst Airport?

I would have to say that Madrid is one of the worst airports. The Viewing is O.K airside but the main problem is that they is hardly no where to eat. There are lots of little bars to get drinks but the only food I saw was these stupid little tapas buffets. There was no decent food or fast food restaurants. Madrid is also huge. 3 terminals which connect together. I once had the problem of landing at one end of terminal 3 and had 5 minuites to run to the other end of terminal 1 to catch a flight. I did catch the flight but I felt like I had run the London Marathon.
I think the best airport is Amsterdam – brilliant!

    RE: MyTravel launches budget airline

They also plan to start another base at Glasgow Prestwick. I wonder if they will fly to Paris Beauvais to compete with Ryanair?
Do you think it will ever come to the point where My Travel will become a completely low cost airline? bmibaby have taken over bmi at East Midlands. It probably could happen becuase some charter airlines are now charging passengers £15 to have a meal on their flights!
Would everyone prefer a few snacks for a couple of pounds or 2 meals for £15?

    RE: Easyjet

Your Welcome. I got the information from justplanes.com about 2 weeks ago. It was on their news section. They also plan to start flying from:

    Geneva – Madrid
    Liverpool – Alicante
    Liverpool – Zurich
    London Gatwick – Liverpool
    London Gatwick – Munich

    RE: bmibaby mega expansion

bmibaby have said that they are going to operate 11 Boeing 737-300 Aircraft. 9 for East Midlands and 2 For Cardiff. However, on OAG.com, it shows that bmibaby operates the Fokker 100 on a lot of routes and the 737-500 on a few and the rest are 737-300’s. Very weird and confusing!

    RE: bmibaby mega expansion

Yeah, I also thought that bmibaby would have operated from Belfast City.
It also looks like bmibaby won’t be flying to Lyon (as mentioned above). This is probably because they need the aircraft for the other destinations. Copenhagen was also going to start in November but this doesn’t look like it will operate either. Maybe Lyon, Madrid and Copenhagen are planned routes for next year?

    Sorry for the mistakes!
