”Re inactments whats all that about it’s a bit sad! much better things to do on a weekend.”

To each there own, not like they’re driving around in circles in a town centre smokin green stuff.
the group were invited by the IWM as part of the educational program they have in place aswell as to add to the aircraft displayed and give people more of an idea about the people who crewed and ran the stations where they were based. Keeping the memory of those that flew and maintained the a/c is an important part of the point of the museum exhibits is it not? not just to look at nice shiny a/c?
The IWM has done the same with the RAF in the superhanger and by all accounts they are very successful events…

unfortunately this is true, well you cant hide the fact can you 😉 tis a hobby wide issue…. (no pun intended)
but to be fair alot of younger types are either pissed or stoned out of their little brains and have no money left to buy the kit or afford the petrol to get to events or more likely arent interested in the last time this country was worth a damn, cause it sure aint now…

getting treated like some new recruit by a certain group of mammals when I’m an SAC, freezing my nads off every winter walking to the gym for a shower….watching the copper chopper go off to do battle with local scrotes…looking at the merlins just sittin there:rolleyes:, watching the Pumas sit there n then moving, stumbling back to the block after an evening of coca cola in the sqn bar,and as always wondering when the elevators are gona fall off of the spitty on guard…..

I only have this to say. Guernica, Coventry and London.

    indeed or Pot, Kettle, Black.

The more of a kicking a bully gets, the less likely he is to bully that person or persons agian, and to my knowledge the Germans haven’t started a war since!
So RAFBC has nothing to feel ashamed of in my eye…
It is the politicians of the war cabinet at the time that are to blame if anyone is to complain about the stratergies of waging a war on a ruthless enemy hell bent on killing and enslaving others.
I dont see them complaining to the Russians about Berlin…But then again the Russians would squash the Germans(that or cut off the energy resources..) if they got annouyed. This country just bends over now and awaits the inevitable…

    aaaannnnndddd relax..;)

yes, ,(but without seeing the dimensions cant really say for sure but I reckon thats what they are) disintegrating metal links that hold the rds together that then get spewed out of the side of most MGs, so instead of channelling the rounds into the weapon like the feed chutes you get , these help feed the used links out, a bit like the lower intestine if you will……;)
