I was discussing (generally) why I didn’t manage to catch up with the Victor crew at Wings n Wheels; at Elvington. Discussion, as it implies, means replying if somebody posts something that intrigues you, you have information on, or maybe mentions you by name.

Grey Area.. there’s no difference between my exchanges, and yours a few posts ago with Lincoln 7.

Unless you want this forum area to become a bunch of humourless statements, can we have some direction on what IS and what ISN’T general discussion, in order to avoid these red ink entries?

There’s no limit as such on a car for an MOT. It’s just whether a tester thinks it is “significantly louder than standard”. Similarly noise tests have set regulations (a set number of decibels measured at 3m distance, at an angle of som many degrees to the exhaust outlet, at 3000rpm).

So they won’t actually fail.. that’s why a lot of modern supercars have adaptive exhausts that only fully open after 3000rpm.

He beat this nasty before, if it turns out that its reared its ugly head again I’m sure he’ll kick its **** again. At the moment it’s just making him uncomfortable and he can’t really travel.

He’s got some more appointments at the Doc’s so we’ll see how it goes. They’ve not bothered having him bed bound in hospital, so it can’t be too bad.

Dad’s ill mate, something looks like its recurring that we all hoped wouldn’t.

I’ll let you know how it goes, but if I do get up there I’ll just be turning up on the day. I can’t book ahead, as everything depends on where Dad needs to be at the moment.

I’ll get up there the next Sunday I can if I don’t manage the show.
