The breadth of knowledge within the Association in phenomenal and the stories that appear in the Growler are brilliant; likewise Mo’s website also holds a wealth of Shackleton information – 🙁 if you can get past the terrible story about how VP293’s cockpit was stripped http://www.avroshackleton.com/

VP293 is getting a lot of care and attention, in a hangar at Coventry. A couple of the volunteer’s from WR963’s team have taken on returning her to her former glory. I’ll try and get an update for you this weekend, but when I last looked there was new glass and various instruments showing up.

The story of XF710 coming down at Culloden Moor was featured in “The Growler” some time last year I think?

Possibly depression kev. I can’t speak for myself, but with my father, when he was suffering with depression it was the fact that he couldn’t cope with things that was the only real outward sign.

If you think you’re going that way, please seek advice as its a bad bad road to travel.

Over 1000 jobs lost (Today) at a car windscreen Company

Yesterday, actually. A lot of people in my town had a really crap Valentines Day.

India should be left to its ownd evices. Just because their government/leaders can’t be bothered to pick up the tab for the poverty stricken of their country, we shouldn’t foot the bill.

They aren’t part of an Empire any more, and Britain doesn’t go propping up other bits of the globe to this extent. There’s a deal in there somewhere and it stinks.

I like this country a lot, but it reminds me of that lion that was in the Iraqi zoo. Right colour, right shape, but a shadow of its former magnificent self.

Britain is going down. 🙁

Near the fire station on the airport, so I’m told. The last picture of the Dodo I have was late last year, you can barely see it for weeds.

Last time I looked there were big chunks of an Electra over on the dump. There’s also one behind the Airbase hangar missing a few pieces that was being used by a bunch of “airsoft” enthusiasts last weekend.
