Nice try, chaps.
Nice try……
A simple apology would have done it.

A sad result for the ordinary working people of France. They can now look foreward to the same erosion of their hard won rights and conditions of employment as has happened to much of the working people in the UK. Also if the rumours are to be believed Sarkozys election may bring to an end the vital counterbalance to the Anglo/US axis which France has provided for some time past, I don’t see that being good for the world at large either. Certain states in the Near/Middle East may also have lost a valuable ally in Paris. IMO an election result with not much to recommend it and one that a large part of the French electorate could come to regret, unless you have great wealth…. sadly a familliar story:(
Yeah sad for 10% that are already unemployed as a result of such rights. France needs to get over itself and embrace globalisation and the rest of civilisation as a whole rather than sitting back and blaming the rest of the world for its problems.
Nice effort at thread high-jacking Grey-area, nice to see the moderators setting the standard.

Try three F100s for less than the prce for three G&C AWDs.
This contest isn’t over yet.
Unicorn
I realy cannot see the Austalians going for four ships, the economy might be doing well but you have to remember that if you buy 4 ships you have to run four ships. Running 4 F-100s would probably be more expensive than running 3 AB lites.
Had the X32 looked more like that instead of a beached fish, Boeing might well have won that contest.:p
+1 on that!!!:D Now scale it up and give it a pair of F-135s and an internal weapons bay and you will have a nice new medium bomber.;)
Sorry, but there is no way a totally redeveloped AH-1Z and UH-1Y would be cheaper than the current Apache/Blackhawk. Further, the point I am trying to make is the high cost of parts, infrastructure, logistics, etc. has to also be factored in too! That’s like saying the USMC should rebuild Colt 45 cal. sidearms instead buying new Beretta 9 mm like the rest of the US Military Services. (and many other allied nations)
The Beretta 9mm is a long way from being new and frankly I would much rather have the old 1911 anyway.;)
Very, very interesting. I wonder how far along the tests of that ramjet got? I do have my doubts about the nuclear role though; South Africa’s nukes were far from sophisticated enough to be used in a missile this size. It was enough of a hassle to try get them to a size that would fit the RSA-3 and RSA-4.
It might however have made a goos AShM or ARM?
Thanks Wilhelm! How far along did this programme get?
Seems like the majority think the right size is between 40,000-50,000 tons for a Carrier. (except of course the USN)
Funny how different Navies come around to the same size ship for a given class. Much like many navies during WWII realized around 15,000-20,000 tons was the right size for a Cruiser and 40,000-45,000 for a Fast Battleship.
Actually the CVF programme now appears to have produced a design with a displacement in excess of 70,000 tonnes. It seems like the 40-50k figure was just to small.
I agree with you on the Gorshkov issue, I would not expect it to be fully operational much before 2012, maybe 2011. Whilst I respect what the Indian defence chiefs have to say, I also recognise that they (like defence chiefs in every other country) have a corner to fight. It is not unusual for defence staff anywhere to try and hide problems in procurement programmes.
This has been discussed to death here. The general consensus seems to be that at best it is very inaccurate and at worst just the product of someones imagination.:(
Talented and very meticulous about details!
PS: Are those Vector Graphics?
+1 on that! A fantastic Job!!
I still believe that there may be a Manpad launcher on the new Corvette (Mouge) between the Bridge and the 76mm. Iranian news reports have in the past reffered to this type having an SAM capability so it would make sense.
I think if I was the Iranian Navy I would lose the helicopter pad on the Mouge and fit it with variants of the Ra’ad (2?) or another 4 C-802. If Iran realy is planning for a conflict with the US the best thing they can do is prepare these ships to launch as many AShM’s as possible in as short a time as possible as they will undoubtedly face a very rapid demise.
This is funny!
Looks like the IAF could get itself a free Boeing 737 if it realy wants!:D

Yes, indeed- lets joke about the Master race, “Lord”. Frankly- is there one group on this board who has not set you to rights for your rather execrable behaviour?
Still not taken the chill out pills I see. Its amazing that you can get so upset by the name used by a prson on the internet. I would have thought you would have better things to worry about.:p
What? No talk of the master race(tm)?
Dont be slipping up, old chap!!
Realy there is no need for repetition, you have already proved that you cant take a joke.:D
