    Lovely!

You can see your monopod affair in the nose Shack shot.

I’ll be at Newark in the summer, Mother-in-law lives near there so I’m bound to be over.

Apparently to shoot infrared with a digital camera, you have to alter the chip. So it’s a case of -send it away and get the chip sensitivity altered to a different part of the spectrum. Best done on an ‘old camera’ that you’re not using anymore.
Perhaps I’ll dedicate my old 35mm Olympus OM1 to infrared (film) when I finally buy a digital camera.
ps: I’m feeling so old fashioned now!

Well, that would be a way to do it in Camera. But you can do it in Photoshop (Or other software which gives you access to the colour channels).
Plenty of tutorials on it, on the interdoofah.

    erm.
    Yes. To a point.

But the classics are for me with a few new ones. West Side Story, Oklahoma, Singin in the Rain, South Pacific, Grease etc.
I also like the Fred Astaire films. Simply because he was the best, nobody has ever come close.

And I forgot……he God of the 80’s movie, The Blues Brothers.
    Tommy.

    Journos strike again.(Daily Mail)

    • How British airline Flybe has the world’s biggest fleet of Bombardier plane in NY crash

They picked it for it’s speed. Nobody runs an airline like Flybe. And I must say I’m impressed at the way they manage the fleet, getting all A/c back to home base for overnighters. The picked Emb. for the speed too.
Obviously, size and range and fuel drinking count too.

The VC10 looks good because it was designed to do so. Very especially the “Whale tail”.

These days, the chase for absolute aerodynamic efficiency means that all the big jets look like they come out of the same jelly mould. The aerodynamic lines are CAD-CAM’d for the given platform.
The only design elements that can be “Personalised” are the shape of Cockpit Windows, leading edge of the fin. Nose (Blunt or pointy!).
    That’s about it.

Yeah, maybe you’re right. Hamas are terrorists. But Israel still beat them by a country mile in that dept. The Israelis are super-terrorists.

Against that lot! You make it out like it’s a bad thing!

    Not necessarily.

Depending on what the diver was doing at the time of the incident, the shark could have homed in on any irregular movements he was making (yes, like the struggling of a wounded fish), any sounds emanating from him or what he was doing. Was he using something shiny that might have reflected light (thus making the shark think it was the flashing sides of a fish)?

It’s not always a clear-cut case. Ninety-five percent of white shark attacks are pretty obviously mistaken identity, but given that this was in a harbour, and done by a smaller shark (a carcharinid shark by the sound of it), it’s less obvious.

Perhaps the diver was encroaching on the shark’s territory?

    Yeah, the Sea.

Actually, I don’t think Sharks are territorial, especially as they can’t actually stop still for more than a minute. Don’t they sleep on the move?

The temp has dropped quite considerably today…death toll now stands at 175

181, effing sad. And knowing that some were deliberate makes it more so.

Nah the only reason I say that bit is really because of my still young age for the Police, im trying to convince myself im not going to shy away from a drunken idiot just because they have used threatening and abusive language/behaviour. Im not saying im one of these adrenalin junkies that thinks that me and me only can go and sort all of Northants out. 🙂 Apologies for the lack of clarity there.

Yeh I know what you mean about technicalities. It is annoying. And I’ve never loked at the judicial system that way before :(.

So is the job worthwhile in all then?[/QUOTE]

Of course it is. Especially if you are as passionate about it as you seem to be.
The old adage rings true “Find a job you love and you will never do a days work in your life”.

As for the judicial system, it’s flawed to hell, but the alternative would be me and Charles Bronson with a 12 bore. I think it’s best with the present system don’t you? 🙂

A lawyer MUST defend his client. They know he is guilty but they help construct a viable lie. It is the accused right to proper defence, and it is the duty of the lawyer to defend that right….no matter how deep the poo gets.
