haha, not quite what i said, i drive reasonably, not mega fast but not taking the p… either.
“Taking the P…” is how you refer to safe driving?
Nuisance mate, that’s you. Maybe you’ll learn by smashing up your car without injury to others (Or self) because the Highway code or driving lessons haven’t worked.
Had to be said I’m afraid.
Link?
It was on yahoo home page last night. It must have been nothing after all.
If that be the case…my Mother-in-law should be made to pay for 4 seats then!!!
This will be how your wife turns out!
Run away, run away!
I’ve often thought about the viability of someone (with deep pockets) building a 99% scale composite version of the DH Mosquito. Built from modern composites and slightly reduced in scale, these adjustments would probably be enough to prevent BAe Defence Systems from stopping such a project. My understanding is that they aren’t that keen on allowing anyone from building an exact replica. The aircraft would be powered by the Merlin and the wings/fuselage covered in doped fabric (as per original). The aircraft would look, sound and smell like an original, but virtually everything onboard would be modern. Just a Suggestion.
Before the ongoing financial crisis, I would have imagined that you would be able to sell maybe two or three to rich collectors (as per FW190/Me262). Now, if you could find a modern commercial for such an aircraft…
Sadly, the idea would probably only be an American project, due to their extensive experience in building using composite materials (Scaled Composites comes to mind).
Ahem, Yerp and the UK (Incl. N.I. of course) are streets ahead of the USA when it comes to CFRP research and application. Even the A400, pig that it is, is well ahead of the Dreamliner.
And mozzies were Wood, Birch in fact……not fabric.

Darn right too!
Soon, it will be back to the pioneer days of flying, all pax will be weighed and you pay for your own mass, and your luggage.
So porkers will have to pay more, which makes total sense. Very very especially if they need two seats.
Adoring the aerobatic team with the flares.
And those green Hawks look darn nice!
All the pics are great, obviously.
Oops…try again
erm. Nope, nowt doin, ya noofy!

The worlds gone nuts…you’re going through your worst blizzards ever and in this country we’re going through our worst heat wave ever
Erm, it’s our winter, and your summer. It would be nuts if it were reversed.
It’s our worst winter since 1964. This little poof of snow is only due to last a week. 64 was several weeks and colder.
However, in those days there were gritters, there were hoppers of grit on the small roads, where residents could get there own, knowing it wouldn’t have been vandalised. Every town had some sort of Army barracks so there was a lot of kit and a lot of “Hands” available to dig/scrape etc. With all that gone, this one is worse.

Am I missing a point?
The article is about emptying Gitmo into Canada, and the problems it will bring.
Nothing about any hero homecoming that I could see.

….missed a bit.
Amazing, the amount of over-spray.
hmm i think 98% if not more of all drivers need to learn how to drive in the snow, Newcastle we had about an inch of snow, no more which in all ammounted to a slightly damp road by 9, and everyone was curb crawling. my 30 minute trip to the airport took me over 2 hours..
Oh c’mon 90.
Do you want the average motorist to tearass round “Turning into the spin” etc.?
It is the lack of gritters which made your journey 2 hrs, not the lack of driving skills.
ALL employers expect lateness of even absence at times like this, there is absolutely no need to rush. Nobody is that important (Some may think they are, but they are not).
