Thanks for that. As I’ve led such a sheltered life it would have taken ages to work it out.

Plenty of other 4 letter words it could have been. But it was actually clean, but still blocked.

The Smash martians always annoyed me, I never understood why it goy plaudits/awards.

Does anybody remember the Hagen Das (sp) Ice cream advert where a lass was sat on the worktop, fella was feeding her Ice cream, it dripped onto her heaving chest and he was spooning it off. etc. etc. You can guess the music/mood! Suddenly he ran out of ice cream, so he goes to fridge….and there, is a tin of Fosters. Next thing, the girl awakes from a lusty trance to hear the can opening and football on TV in the backround.

Other than that, the BA adverts with the big smile running up the beach.

Actually there is. On most automatic gearboxes an internal oil-pump is driven when the crankshaft is turning and this supplied oil to cool and lubricate the internals of the box. With the engine switched-off the oil-pump doesn’t supply this oil and if the wheels drive the gearbox the internals still rotate, even in neutral (as with any gearbox) and damage will soon occur. This is why you should never tow an automatic.

…with the driving wheels on the floor.

    Thanks BTW.
