Refering to the original article, yes the USA is bound to be a bit concerned at our methods. I am too. A long drawn out campaign which costs money and lives. We should have adopted the shock and awe tactics and ended it sooner. We would have had to borrow US kit though as our budget cuts have left us with little. And, the shock and awe that the US did use was a bit tame in comparison to what was deserved.

    [QUOTE=Schorsch;

re Conventional wing Box. Centre Wing box…..I read that as the Torsion Box, i.e the section of the fuse where the Wing box joins.
If the Spars are metal, the Wing skins would also have to be metal. But the skins are plastic. (If they were different the thermal expansion differences would shear all the fasteners, as well as not actually work from a stress/weight point of view).
Or, if the 75% does indeed refer to the Wing Box, they will be refering to weight. The Ribs will be Ally, the Rib attachments (Posts) will be ally. And depending exactly how they determine the Wing Box, they may have included the Fixed Trailing edge with it’s Flap Tracks and the U/c supports – all metal.
These metal items are chordwise or isolated and do not suffer the same thermal exp. problems as the spanwise bits.

If the sole criteria were simply wealth, Osama would be happily living on the Riveria chasing women, driving a Ferrari.

    He probably is.

My two weeks in the Romanian government buildings was a little on the superb side. It was like being in my own porn movie on the warmer days.
Young Soviets are also good lookers.
I went out with a French lass for several months, but she had been refined (She shaved her armpits). Her friend however looked like she had Tina Turner in an arm-lock. Not good.

As for Scots, well…..Shrek was a scot on purpose 🙂

Make it few thousand miles to the south and another few to the east. It’s called Riyadh. 😉

It wouldn’t surprise me if it was London. We seem to allow all sorts of scum sympathisers to live here, protest freely against the hand that feeds/clothes/warms them.

so you are a arms dealer ??

no wonders, you seemed to condone israeli genocide ,

after all , you are a pedaler and merchant of death ….

What on earth are you doing on “Modern Military Aviation”?
    Arms dealer, that sounds underhand.
If a merchant of death is my new title at work, I’ll take the pay rise that goes with it. But there’d be about 150,000 other employees with the same badge.
There is no genocide going on here. Quote Wiki…”Genocide is the deliberate and systematic destruction, in whole or in part, of an ethnic, racial, religious, or national group”. Israel is aiming at the scum, not directly at the people. As I said, she doesn’t waste good ammo.

I get sharp results from my Tamron 28-300 and that’s supposedly the worst one of the lot!

That’s a fine start with a DSLR, Matt! There is indeed a little softness to a couple of them but a quick changing of settings should help. I notice for your EK 777 shot you were using Aperture Priority at f/16 and ISO 400 giving you a shutter speed of 1/125th, which is a little on the slow side meaning it’s much easier to get blur. Firstly, try dropping the ISO to 200. This will have the effect of halving the shutter speed to around 1/60th but if you then drop the aperture down to around f/8, you should get shutter speeds of about 1/250th and your images should be a little sharper.

Hope that helps, and feel free to drop me a PM if I can help. 🙂

    Paul

Agree, 250th plus is needed on a tele.
Where did you get the exif data from?
