One thing the Asians seem to eat a lot of is snake..i’ve never tried it and don’t think I’d ever want to

I’ve had Rattlesnake in Texas. It was OK. Chopped up like a cucumber then deep fried. A bit tough, with a taste similar to turkey dipped in weak acid.

Maybe the topic is closed until the ante is upped. But it isn’t my call, I didn’t start it.

…and it will be a couple of weeks yet before Israel has finished Air ops on Cast Lead. As for her doing ground ops, I believe the kit is being moved into place….but that may just be for border protection.
I am told that the people that have spotted the targets, most likely Shin Bet, are also telephoning civilians to get out, when the F-16 is on finals.
I’m also told that even the UN is stating that of the 400 killed, 300 of them were the bad guys, with 100 (25%) being civvies/shields. Considering the theatre, that’s a good result.

Israel won’t move on Iran, she is waiting to be attacked. Then the ante will go up for a couple of days whilst another idiot is silenced. And if Iran makes one move towards her, I believe US will have no choice but to assist. Obama’s first job may have to be to EXPAND Guantanamo.

Has anyone ever stayed in the Travelodge at Manchester Airport, whats it like, how far from the Viewing Park and airport itself

    Thanks

It’s on the South side of the airport, not walkable with baggage. Shuttle bus runs to terminals.

Can’t speak for the Man Airport one, but be aware that you get NOTHING for your money. OK, you get a bar of soap (ONE) in a wrapper. It measures 1.5 inches x 1 inch x 0.25″ and will just about last one adult one shower. The breakfast (In a bag), at £4+ is a sealed plastic bowl of cornflakes with a carton of lifelong milk, a carton of smoothie, a “Breakfast bar” and a paper cup with a tea bag in it, and some more lifelong milk. All dated about 12 months hence, that’s gonna be good for ya isn’t it? The bathroom has plastic cups (Vending machine type) for standing up your toothbrush. No shampoo/conditioner/bath gel. for food, there is usually a vending machine in “Reception” (That’s a laugh).

They’re cheap because they’re cra*. But I hope the ones at Airports are better than the City ones I’ve stopped at.

Your thinking of his bimbo/bogan girlfriend that’s the imbecile. The going back down bit would require some guts, trouble is most of those crusty demon type, tatoo wearing, earing infested idjuts are druged up to the eyeballs when they ride.

He came back down on a much wider ramp, that was easier than the launch. Aiming for that little launch ramp would be impossible as the tragectory would be all wrong and he’d be a 6 foot diameter red patch.

GA, put yourself at the airport in a post 9/11 world, waiting for your flight, with your own family with you…. and you heard such discussions. Paranoia is a realistic thing when it comes to flying. Unfortunate, but not disgraceful.

-Can you cite one example in the history of warfare, where there has been Zero collateral damage?

    Naseby? 🙂
Oh hang on, there was the killing of prisoners there.

Fact is, it happens. If the bad guys have weapons, the good guys get better ones. The good guys usually have the edge on the tech., and boy does Israel have an edge (Over NATO too in many respects).

It seems an accurate statement to me.

Some of the best of contemporary British cuisine hides behind labels like “Indian”, “Chinese”, etc.

You’ll struggle to find a Chicken Tikka Masalla in India, that’s for sure! 🙂

    Yep, invented in London.
What’s the Chinese dish invented in San Fran? Is it Chop Suey?
