I know this is a serious subject and I really should act more like a grown-up,but I have to share this.
It’s commonly believed that Muslim martyrs will be rewarded with seventy-two virgins when they arrive in heaven.
In my newspaper today a correspondent mentions something in Richard Dawkins’ book The God Delusion.
Apparently this idea results from a mis-translation.The term virgin can also refer to raisins,so what the martyrs will actually receive are ” seventy-two white raisins of crystal clarity “.
I imagine that might come as a bit of a let-down.

    Hopefully they get poisoned ones.

    The Hurt Locker.

Take a 10 minute newsreal and span it out to a movie.
I’d give it 1/10 for effort. OK 2, the cinematography was good.

I think there is more to that than meets the eye. “I love the sound of breaking glass” is a definite aspect of our psychy. There were lots of (To me) intentional accelerations and 2nd attempts at hitting the cars. Even after the car came to a stop, in blatently obvious impossible conditions, they set off again to go for more hits. Maybe the driver thought “Sod it, in for a penny in for a pound”, or they were drugged up or drunk.

Amusing though, but not if it was my car getting hit.

    Tank Commander. Flame throwing type.
    Fire Engine Driver.
Steam Engine driver (When trains were trains!)
    Airline Pilot.

1 and 2 came close. 3 died with the Cast Iron trians and 4 never really excited me.

If you do an appropriate search, there are some very well constructed rude ones. Extremely funny, some of them.

Snowmen that is, not cheap wine.

Think of a world where Brown, Cameron and the other one are insignificant.
    Now THAT’S progress!

Unheralded among the media frenzy and the resonant echoes of righteous indignation, buried away at the foot of a page on the BBC News website is the following quote from Hertfordshire Police:

Officers spoke to reassure the home owner, talked through security and gave advice in relation to the importance of reporting suspicious activity immediately to allow officers to act appropriately.

For clarification, at no point were any official warnings or words of advice given to the home owner in relation to the use of a knife or offensive weapon in their home.”

    So there you go……

If I could back-peddle that fast I’d be in the Olympics.

Yahoo news reporting the people or BBC news reporting the Police statement.

You decide, it should of course be a no-brainer but much as I applaud the BBC and the Police, they do a lot of lying.

The asda close to me hasnt cleared their carpark either. Considering its their carpark I assumed they had a duty to clear it when it snowed. So does the rule stand that if it snows and they dont clear it and someone falls over and breaks their leg asda cannot be sued? Sounds pretty rediculous and dangerous to me.

The UK is completely messed up.

Same reason the Council didn’t clear the car parks. Scared of being held liable.
Morrisons near me cleared the car park properly, then salted it. They had a good business day on Saturday!
