At the risk of sounding non-PC, I suspect he got it for pretty much the same reason that Trevor McDonald got his Knighthood.
No, Trev. was reasding our news for what seemed 50 years. This fella is still green.
Thomas the Tank is sexist?
The (Ahem) Woman that thinks so must be a really ugly lesbian misandrylistic minger that could hold no other job than with a pinko looney Council.
Put them in a field, and bomb the bast****.

Back on topic,
For me it is all down to talent. Ms Boyle has an extremely good voice, she may not look like the average pop star. but she can certainly hold a note. Mrs Cheryl Cole on the other hand, looks the part but in my humble opinion, cant sing for toffee!
I wouldn’t ask her to sing.

Some of the guesses above are remarkably accurate.
A400M will be a success to export, there’s so much AF willing to upgrade thier C130 fleet 😉
cost overun is over exagereted ..
(a) The new Fat Herc is a better bet, then.
(b) I beg your pardon? I see these cost numbers weekly, if anything they are understated, to save even further embarrassment.
Some of his stand-up is brilliant, some dire. There have been few sitcoms, if any, following The Office to match it.:)
I enjoyed the Office very much, and the series he did on stage, with a projector.
Extra’s was a brave move, I think it succeeded in the end.

She will make it, her singing talent is good for 4 or 5 albums, then she can retire away from this lot.

Hailing from India a developing nation I believe that Human Effect on global warming is a mass scare tactic aimed at taxing the developed world and preventing the growth of the developing world.
1. The Western World has polluted this planet for their industrial growth for centuries now, and now when the likes of China and India are threatening to overtake them they want to try the scare tactic to curb our growth.
2. Climate change even if man made cannot be stopped, the world is too divided over this to reach an accord. It is better to invest in contingency measures, to draw up a prediction of the areas that are going to be affected and planning and co-operating on relocation of people in danger.
China and India have already overtaken the west in terms of manufacturing output. But I’m sure a form of Non Tarrif Barrier still exists if the west wants some protectionism.
As a matter of interest, are you in India being forced to use light bulbs of less than 40w, are the larger engined cars taxed more etc. Basically, are you being punished financially for being ungreen?
Ungreen, I like that 🙂
