    1) Apart from the answer above, we got Afghan because the US wanted Iraq. One can rumble tanks into Iran from Iraq.
    2) Our brit Army seem to love a trouble spot to sharpen skills. The grunts and Officers I know enjoyed the NI postings and they like Afghan more. The threat of death is the whole point. My close friend is a sniper out there, and he enjoys the stalk, the report and the kill(s). I salute him.

    We, the righteous, will win.

Only the extremes of any Religion are dangerous. I equally care/worry about the Gospel garbage spouted by complete liars on the extreme of Christianity. But they are not as bad as the extremes of Muslim.
It is always an argument about who has the best imaginary friend.

    (a) No, I am not worried about the seemingly massive increase of Muslims into this country. I am just hoping Mi6 etc. can weed out the scum within any immigrants coming in.

    (b) The BNP demonstrations in this country are demonised as Nazi.

The article says facing a minimum of a 5 stretch. It doesn’t say he is likely to be set free.
That means he’s up sh1t creek.
Due to (a) an outrageous Judge/Jury/Police lies
or (b) a lot of facts not put before us.

    1) Roadworks at Dorchester
    2) Trying to solder the little spring inside the car immobilzer key-fob. (Holds the batteries in and makes the + connection). I failed, so I mackled an alternative together with thin wire and isolated it from the side of the batteries with Earth sleeving. It works……..presently.

I know my Chief Superintendants desk number. It isn’t an 0845.

If the bloke was “Known” to the Police, he would probably know that a Sawn-off appearing in his garden was either (a) an abandoned tool from a blag somewhere or (b) a plant to frame him up.
So, he would have known not to move it and call the Police. So something isn’t ringing true…it’s either Bull or he is as thick as 2 short planks.
There must be a lot of facts missing. Even the thickets pikey Chav jury would not find him guilty of possesion in such circumstances. He probably kept it for some months after finding it.

I found it an excellent film. Well worth braving the masses and going to see it on the opening night on friday at my local Odeon.

The plot is not beyond the realms of possibility I thought. It sounded plausible.
The CGI was outstanding and very hard to tell apart from live action in most cases, apart from some of the shots with the limo escaping.
Though I doubt an aircraft as large as that Antonov could ever climb that steep.
But, to make the audience cringe and gasp, some artistic license is required.

All in all, 10 out of 10. It was entertaining and that’s what I bought the cinema ticket for, entertainment.

Approximately where in the film is this Antonov?

‘In the scheme of things’ I was talking about crimes much, much more damaging than having your wallet lifted (unless, as I said earlier you’re attacked in the process). I guess our idea of the scheme of things is somewhat different.

    Paul

I knew what you meant. I was indicating a personal affect on you.
I only worry about the crime that is likely to directly affect or disturb me. Muggers, robbers, twockers etc. If my local bank is held up, I would only be worried if I’m in the crossfire. If it was a big hold-up I’ll look forward to the movie.

    Hi Old Shape

Sorry if in any way I miss represented your comments or thoughts.

However, we live in a very corrupt world. That includes the police and legal system. The current legal system has more holes than a tea bag and access to justice in the UK only exists if you have money.

If a UK computer guy can hack the American military computers, millions of people can falisfy evidence.

Poor innocent people would die, rich guilty people would get off. At has always been thus.

You cannot guarantee an infalable system, without it innocent people will die. Therefore, the death penalty must not exist.

Just a thought from a life long Manchester United fan…..what should have happend to the police officers in charge at Hilsborough ? (alledgedly…).

    Retired ????

Say no more…………..and believe me I don’t like Liverpool FC at all (even though Steve Highway and Ian Callaghan have always been favourites of mine !) .

    Cheers !

Thankfully, I am part of the corruption. I do work for the UK Gt and I took money to vote. I no longer care, this country is in the hands of 650 idiots that waste skin and have no right to share my air. I cannot stand by
corruption and have none of it myself.

Innocents die all the time. If we make a secure system that works the best it can then the statistical mistakes will get less each time. Getting the system right is the hard bit. The removal of child killers, child rapists, anti-west terrorists is the easy bit. Oh so easy. “Ordinary” murder cases need a LOT more looking into.

Hillsborough? That’s a long way off topic and do not understand the analogy. For the record, I do not support LFC but I lived in Liverpool at the time so my opinions of the police that day, and the Sun newspaper are the same.
