I’m not saying that the individual Irishman was bullied into voting yes or no, it’s just the likes of Sarkozy et al who wouldn’t accept the outcome of the first referendum, and told the Irish that they should hold another just because it didn’t fit into their plans for a USE which made me swear.

One must remember, the EEC only formed out of the original trade agreements between France and Germany. And that was because France was getting fed up of being walloped at every war (Can’t actually be that hard anyway can it?). These two will always rule the Yerp parliament. France also rules the CAP, because it wants to keep its farmers in the 17th century (Damn good protectionist policy, but it hurts everybody else!)
So, seeing as GB hasn’t got the bottle to join Yerp in a full and proper way, we cannot bleat on about everything that is wrong with it (Well, we can bleat but we don’t have a seat at the table to demand a change). Personally, I’m all for it….it’s one step towards getting rid of the pointless waste of skin and hair we have in the HP. All of them, from any party.

It is also 1 step towards the common currency, which is something like Article 2 or 3 of the treaty of Rome…..in other words it’s always been a goal since it was set up. This will then give two main currencies in the world, USD and the Euro. They will of course converge until the Forex is 1:1 and trade will be a damn site easier.
